SuperChatUI – Changelog

Version: Post-Beta UI & Settings Expansion

New: User Settings System

SuperChatUI now includes a fully persistent settings system stored in SavedVariables. These settings apply automatically on login and are retained across reloads and logouts.

New: In-Game Settings Window

A dedicated SuperChatUI Settings window has been added, accessible via:

• /scui

• /scui options

• A clickable ⚙ Settings button placed to the left of the tab indicator in the main chat window

This window allows real-time adjustment of UI behavior without reloads.

New: Focus Window Toggle

Users can now enable or disable the Focus Window directly from settings. Disabling the focus window fully hides it and prevents it from rebuilding until re-enabled.

New: Window Opacity Controls

Added independent opacity sliders for:

• Main chat window

• Focus window

Opacity changes apply instantly and are clamped to safe values to prevent invisibility.

New: Text Size Controls

Added adjustable text sizing for:

• Main chat log

• Focus window chat log

• Input edit box

All text resizing applies live and respects font safety limits to avoid UI breakage.

New: Settings Reset

A Reset button restores all settings to their default values instantly.

UI Improvements: Settings Window Layout

• Increased settings window size to prevent slider/button overlap

• Adjusted layout spacing to ensure all sliders are readable and usable

• Eliminated overlap between the Input Text Size slider and the Reset / Close buttons

UI Improvements: Settings Button Placement

• Added a visible ⚙ Settings button to the main chat frame

• Positioned immediately left of the tab indicator for quick access

• Button does not interfere with tab scrolling or resizing

Backend Improvements

• Added centralized settings application engine

• Ensured settings are applied after UI creation and on login

• Focus window creation now respects saved enable/disable state

• All new functionality implemented additively with no removals to existing systems

Stability & Compatibility

• No changes to existing chat handling, whisper logic, tab rules, or Blizzard chat suppression

• No removal or restructuring of existing code paths

• Fully compatible with current SuperChatUI SavedVariables format
