StockVault - First Public Release

StockVault is now available as a storage tracking addon for World of Warcraft, focused on giving players a clean overview of where their items are stored across characters and shared storage.

This first release introduces the core StockVault experience: a modern grid-based storage UI, dynamic item categories, cross-character cached storage visibility, and customizable display options.

Main Features

Unified Storage Overview

StockVault provides a consistent layout for:

• Bags

• Bank

• Warband Bank

• Guild Bank

Each storage view uses the same clean interface style, making it easier to browse and compare stored items.

Dynamic Item Category Filters

Items are automatically grouped into useful item type categories.

Category buttons are dynamic and only appear when matching items exist. They work as toggle filters, allowing you to enable or disable multiple categories at the same time.

Examples include:

• Gear

• Weapons

• Armor

• Trade Goods

• Reagents

• Consumables

• Recipes

• Containers

• Battle Pets

• Mounts

• Toys

• Quest Items

• Junk

• Miscellaneous

The All view shows all available item categories grouped with section titles and dividers.

Multi-Row Category Buttons

When many categories are available, StockVault displays them across multiple rows instead of hiding them in a dropdown. This keeps item filtering clear and accessible.

Custom Item Categories

Players can create custom display categories for specific items.

Use Ctrl + Right Click on an item icon to assign a custom category. Once assigned, the custom category appears as a normal category toggle whenever matching items are present.

Ctrl + Right Click again on an item with a custom category removes that assignment.

Adjustable Grid Display

The item grid can be customized through settings.

Available grid options include:

• Icons per row

• Item icon size

• Item spacing

• Item padding

• Grid margin

• Space between category sections

• Compact or expanded information display

This allows players to choose between a compact storage overview or a more spacious layout.

Aggregated Stack Display

StockVault displays stacked items as combined stack totals where possible, instead of showing unnecessary duplicate item icons.

Item icons show the total item count directly on the grid.

Item Quality Indicators

Item icons include quality indicators where item quality information is available, making rare and valuable items easier to recognize at a glance.

Cached Character Storage

StockVault saves scanned storage data so it can be viewed later.

The Overview tab allows you to select known characters and view their cached bag data. Current character bags update live when available, while other characters use their saved cache.

Warband-Aware Storage Cache

Warband Bank data is saved in account-wide StockVault SavedVariables and can be viewed across characters after it has been scanned.

A scan log is included to help show when the Warband Bank cache was last updated and by which character.

Compact Info Bar

Storage views include a compact information area that can be minimized for a cleaner grid-focused layout.

Minimap Button

StockVault includes a minimap button with support for positioning around round or square minimaps.

Slash Command

Use:

/sv open

to open the StockVault interface.

Notes

StockVault uses cached data for storage that is not currently available to the WoW client. To keep information up to date, open your bags, bank, Warband Bank, and guild bank on the characters you want to track.

Coming Later

Planned future work includes optional integration with MailVault and profession recipe tracking workflows.

The goal is to make it easier to locate recipe materials across characters, prepare required items, and use MailVault to help move tracked items between characters through the mailbox.
