# StepQuest Step Counter

**StepQuest Step Counter** is a precise, lightweight step-tracking addon developed specifically for World of Warcraft character movement challenges and the **StepQuest** video series.

⚠️ **Please Note (Beta Version):** This is an early, developing version of the addon. While testing has been rigorous across various zones and major hubs, step-counting accuracy might slightly vary in certain sub-zones, instances, or unexplored territories. Continuous updates will fine-tune these calibrations!

* **Intelligent Race Calibration:** Built-in unique multipliers for a wide range of character models (including Blood Elf, Void Elf, Night Elf, Human, Troll, Zandalari Troll, Nightborne, Goblin, Gnome, Draenei, Pandaren, Orc, Undead, and Tauren) to match actual visual footsteps.
* **Direction Awareness:** Automatically detects and applies separate scaling rules for running forward, walking forward, running backward, and walking backward.
* **Jump & Fall Protection:** The addon automatically pauses tracking while your character is jumping, falling, or swimming, ensuring that only actual ground footsteps are counted.
* **Section Tracker:** Includes a session-based section counter that you can toggle or reset anytime during your runs.
* **Combat Safe:** Fully functional in combat with optimized performance to ensure zero FPS impact.
* **Minimalistic HUD:** A clean, draggable interface that stays out of your way but keeps you informed.

### 🔧 Commands

* `/sc lock` - Toggle frame movement (lock/unlock windows)
* `/sc show` - Toggle addon visibility
* `/sc scale <0.5-2.5>` - Adjust interface scale
* `/sc pause` - Pause or resume step counting
* `/sc reset` - Reset total step counter
* `/sc tripreset` - Reset section step counter
* `/sc info` - Show current zone, race, and active multipliers
