StatPoker
Track hundreds of lifetime stats for your character, then put them on the table. StatPoker records everything from distance run and fall damage taken to fish caught, hugs given and gold spent at vendors. It then lets you challenge your party to Stat Poker: a 10-round game where each player picks a stat they think they can win on, and the best number takes the round.
Inspired by the Stat Poker game played on Hermitcraft. Read about the original here: Stat Poker on the Hermitcraft Wiki
Now available for WoW Forever, Retail and Classic Era, all in one download.
Upgrading from 1.0.x? The slash command is now
/statp(it used to be/sp, which another popular addon also uses)./statpokerstill works too.
How to play
- Gather your party. Stat Poker is played with your party, up to 5 players. In a raid, your own party is your table. Everyone who wants to play needs StatPoker installed; party members without it simply sit out. The Play tab shows who has it, who is out of date, and who doesn't.
- Start the game. Open the Play tab (
/statp gameor right-click the minimap button) and press Start game. You can press Invite party first to send everyone a friendly popup asking them to join. The player who starts the game picks first, then turns go round the table in order. - The picker's turn. When it's your turn, you have 20 seconds to choose Select a stat or Pass my turn. If you select, you get 2 minutes to browse your stats and pick one. You also choose the rule for the round: Highest wins or Lowest wins. If you run out of time, it counts as a pass and the turn moves on without using up a round.
- Play or pass. Everyone sees the chosen stat and their own number only. Nobody can see anyone else's value. Each player has 20 seconds to Play or Pass. Not choosing counts as a pass. Your value locks the moment the stat is picked, and if you pass, your number is never sent to anyone.
- The reveal. Once everyone has chosen, the values are revealed: the lower places fade in first, from the bottom up, and the top two are revealed together at the end. The picker's rule decides the winner. Ties share the round.
- Win the game. After 10 rounds, the player who has won the most rounds wins the game. Ties share the win.
Every finished game is saved in the History tab (your last 20 games), with full scoreboards and the winners.
No gold is wagered or handled. StatPoker is for bragging rights only. Please don't bet gold on games.
Features
- Hundreds of lifetime stats per character across categories like Movement, Combat, Class, PvP, Dungeons, Quests, Levelling, Exploration, Economy, Gear, Social, Time and Oddities.
- The game's own hidden statistics, imported (WoW Forever and Retail). WoW quietly keeps achievement statistics for your character, including totals from before you installed StatPoker. These are shown in blue; stats StatPoker counts itself are shown in white.
- Class stats: things like totems dropped, soul shards made and ammo fired.
- Search, sort and filter: search across all stats, hide zeros, show blue stats only, and open or close per-mob, per-item and per-zone families with + and −.
- Party invitation popup with an anti-spam cooldown, a "quiet time" setting and an option to turn invitations off.
- Simulate mode for trying the game solo against simulated players. Nothing leaves your client, and simulations are kept separate from real games.
- A polished, Blizzard-style window with Stats, Play and History tabs, a minimap button, subtle UI sounds and an options page under Options → AddOns → StatPoker.
- Distances are shown in metres and kilometres.
Supported game versions
| Version | Status | What to know |
|---|---|---|
| WoW Forever | Fully supported | The version StatPoker was built for and tested on. |
| Retail | Early support | Loads and tracks stats, with the game's hidden statistics in blue. Class stats for Death Knights, Monks, Demon Hunters and Evokers are still to come. Blizzard blocks addon messages during Mythic+ keys, PvP matches and boss fights, so play your games outside those. |
| Classic Era | Experimental | Not yet tested in-game, so feedback is very welcome. Classic Era has no achievement statistics, so blue stats are limited to what StatPoker can read from your history (explored map, flight paths, honour); everything else counts from the day you install it. On the plus side, Classic Era lets addons read the combat log, so damage, healing and other combat stats work there. |

Suggestions welcome
Think a stat is missing, or have an idea to make the addon better? Please suggest it in the comments.
One limit to keep in mind: on WoW Forever and Retail, Blizzard restricts what addons can read from combat, so stats that would need the combat log (such as detailed damage breakdowns) can't be tracked there. Anything outside that is fair game.
A note from the author
StatPoker is a vibe-coded project: it was built with the help of AI, but made with care and the best intentions. It has been tested in the game on WoW Forever, but it's a new addon for a new game, so you may find rough edges, especially on Retail and Classic Era. If you hit a bug, please leave a comment with what happened, which game version you play, and, if you can, the output of /statp debug.
Thanks for playing, and good luck at the table!
