Sszorak Opposite Caller

Sszorak Opposite Caller is a lightweight raid utility addon designed specifically for the Sszorak encounter.

The addon provides a simple visual interface with all 8 standard WoW raid markers arranged around a compass. When you click the marker you currently see, the addon automatically calls the marker placed directly opposite it.

It is mainly intended for Raid Leaders, Assistants, and dedicated callers who want a fast and reliable way to handle Sszorak marker calls without manually remembering opposite positions every time.

Options Window

The addon now includes a full Options window.

You can open it by clicking the Options button on the addon or by typing:

/ssc options

The Options window allows you to configure:

• Raid marker layout
• NSRT MODE ON/OFF
• UI transparency
• Addon scale
• Rotation offset
• Auto-show inside The Venomous Abyss
• Lock/unlock addon position
• Reset marker layout
• Reset all settings

Because the addon uses secure macro buttons, settings that affect the marker buttons or their layout must be changed outside combat.

Custom Marker Layout

The raid marker order can now be completely customized.

This is especially useful if your raid or NSRT note uses a different marker order from the addon's default setup.

To change the layout:

1. Open Options
2. Click one raid marker position
3. Click another raid marker position
4. The two markers will swap places

You can repeat this until the addon matches your raid's exact marker setup.

There is also a Reset Marker Layout button to restore the default arrangement.

Important: Raid Marker Placement

For the addon to work correctly, the physical raid markers placed in the encounter must match the layout configured in the addon.

The addon does not assume fixed marker pairs anymore. Instead, it always calls the marker currently configured on the opposite physical position.

This means you can use any marker order you want, but the world markers in the encounter must be placed in the same arrangement as your addon.

If the raid markers in the room do not match the configured addon layout, the call may point to the wrong physical position.

For best results, configure the addon first and use its marker layout as the reference when placing the raid markers before the pull.

Opposite Position Logic

The call logic is based on physical opposite positions, not fixed marker identities.

The 8 compass positions are paired like this:

• Position 1 ↔ Position 5
• Position 2 ↔ Position 6
• Position 3 ↔ Position 7
• Position 4 ↔ Position 8

Whatever marker is currently assigned to the opposite position is the marker that gets called.

For example:

If Star is placed on one position and Square is configured directly opposite it, clicking Star will call Square.

If you later move a different marker into Square's position, the addon will automatically call that new opposite marker instead.

This means custom layouts work automatically without changing the underlying call logic.

NSRT MODE

The addon includes a built-in NSRT MODE ON/OFF switch.

The selected mode is saved automatically between sessions.

NSRT MODE ON

This mode is designed for groups using the Northern Sky Raid Tools (NSRT) marker-call workflow.

The addon sends the numeric ID of the marker currently located on the opposite position:

/raid 1
/raid 2
/raid 3
/raid 4
/raid 5
/raid 6
/raid 7
/raid 8

Example:

If the marker opposite Star is Square, clicking Star sends:

/raid 6

This keeps the addon compatible with raid setups that rely on NSRT numeric marker calls.

NSRT MODE OFF

When NSRT MODE is disabled, the addon sends the actual opposite raid marker directly as a Raid Warning.

Example:

If Square is opposite Star, clicking Star sends:

/rw {rt6}

If Triangle is opposite Cross, clicking Cross sends:

/rw {rt4}

WoW automatically displays {rt1}–{rt8} as the corresponding raid marker icons.

This mode is useful for groups that are not using NSRT and prefer to see the destination marker directly in Raid Warning.

Important: Raid Warning output requires Raid Leader or Raid Assistant permission.

Combat Security

Sszorak Opposite Caller uses Blizzard's SecureActionButtonTemplate system for marker calls.

This means:

• Calls remain usable during combat
• The addon does not rely on direct SendChatMessage() calls
• Secure macro actions are prepared before combat begins
• Marker layout cannot be changed during combat
• NSRT MODE cannot be changed during combat
• Scale and secure-layout changes must be made before the pull

This avoids the protected-action errors that can occur with direct addon-driven chat calls during encounters.

Transparency

The addon includes a Transparency slider from 0% to 100%.

• 0% = fully opaque background
• 100% = fully transparent background
• Default value: 65%

Transparency only affects the decorative UI layers.

It does not affect:

• Raid marker icons
• Secure macro buttons
• Marker icons in the CALLS history
• NSRT MODE controls

This allows the addon to take up less visual space without making the important raid markers harder to see.

Opens the Options window.

/ssc test
Shows or hides the addon for testing.

/ssc show
Manually shows the addon.

/ssc hide
Manually hides the addon.

/ssc auto
Toggles automatic visibility behavior.

/ssc lock
Locks the addon position.

/ssc unlock
Unlocks the addon so it can be moved.

/ssc scale 0.6-1.6
Changes the addon scale.

Example:

/ssc scale 0.9

/ssc offset 0-7
Rotates the marker layout manually in 45° steps.

/ssc transparency 0-100
Changes the UI background transparency.

Example:

/ssc transparency 80

/ssc nsrt
Toggles NSRT MODE ON/OFF.

/ssc clear
Clears the last 3 calls.

/ssc reset
Resets all addon settings.

Manual Layout Rotation

You can hold Shift and use the Mouse Wheel while hovering over the addon to rotate the entire marker layout in 45° steps.

The same setting can also be adjusted using:

/ssc offset 0-7

This rotates the whole configured layout without changing which markers are opposite each other.

Layout changes must be made outside combat because the marker buttons use Blizzard secure-action functionality.
