SpiritSpawn

See exactly where you'll resurrect. SpiritSpawn draws every spirit healer's spawn region on the world map and shows a live popup of where you'd spawn if you died right now.

Description

Died two steps past an invisible line and resurrected at the wrong spirit healer? Never again.

Every graveyard in the game "owns" a region of the zone around it — die inside that region and that's where you wake up as a ghost. SpiritSpawn draws those regions on your world map and tells you, at any moment, exactly where you would spawn if you died right where you're standing.

That makes it the perfect planning tool for the oldest travel trick in the game: ride to the far side of a border line, die on purpose, resurrect at the spirit healer on the other side of the zone, and eat a few minutes of resurrection sickness instead of a very long run. SpiritSpawn shows you the line, the healer, and how long the run back would be — before you commit.

Features

  • Spawn regions on the world map — border lines divide every zone into its graveyards' regions, with a marker on each spirit healer. Hover anywhere on the map and a line points to the healer you'd get, with a label naming it.
  • Live spawn popup — a small movable window that always shows where you'd spawn if you died right now, updating as you move. Drag it anywhere; resize it with the mouse wheel.
  • Run-back distance — the popup shows how far (in yards) the ghost run back would be from that healer, so you can judge at a glance whether resurrection sickness beats the run.
  • Spawn-change alert — the popup flashes the moment your predicted healer changes while you move, so you catch border crossings without staring at it. Optional sound, both toggleable.
  • Faction aware — Horde-only healers only appear for Horde characters and Alliance-only healers only for Alliance. No more planning around a healer that would never take you.
  • Sub-area accurate — graveyards that belong to a town, island, or dungeon entrance inside a zone are included, not just the zone's main graveyard list.
  • Learns from your deaths — when you resurrect somewhere the addon didn't know, it remembers. You can also teach it manually with /ss add.
  • 103 spirit healers across 46 zones built in, including the custom zones Riverglades, Zephras Isle, and Mount Hyjal.
  • Fully configurable — font (including LibSharedMedia fonts), border line thickness, opacity and colors, marker size, popup size, minimap button, and toggles for every feature.

Commands

  • /ss or /spiritspawn — open settings
  • /ss test — run diagnostics (what the addon sees for your current zone)
  • /ss add — save your current spot as a graveyard for this zone
  • /ss clear — forget the graveyards you taught the addon in this zone

Notes on accuracy

Regions are computed from the game's graveyard link data (which graveyard serves which area, per faction), so predictions match how the game actually assigns your spirit healer. Run-back distances are straight-line yards — your ghost's actual path over terrain will be a bit longer.
