Classic has changed. The zones that were torn apart with the release of Cataclysm (v4) were then re-organised in BfA (v8). Classic was released subsequently with old maps but new attributes meaning that neither the retail nor the old Classic data points for gathering were correct.
Thanks to data collected from the original Gathermate project (data points and format) as well as the doomed AVR (pre-Cata zone IDs) and some time we now have Neoclassical data...
Instructions:
Install this addon like any other (copy folder to the Addons folder or as I do, use Curse client)
- Start the game, go to the main (Esc) menu
- Interface
- Addons
- GatherMate 2
- Import
- Select what you want to import and whether to merge with your existing data or replace it
- Ignore the Expansion
- Click "Import GatherMate..."
- Once done you should see the nodes on your map (assuming you have GatherMate2 set to display them)
This database has a large amount of Stonescale Eel Swarm nodes in the Bay of Storms in Azshara. However, I just traversed 100% of those nodes shortly after the weekly server reset, and 0 of them had pools of any kind. The only fishing nodes in Azshara that had pools of any kind (a random mix of Stonescale Eel Swarm, Oily Blackmouth School, Firefin Snapper School, and Floating Wreckage) are right next to the coast of the Shattered Strand and Southridge Beach, and of course the Patch of Elemental Water pools. It seems like the Stonescale Eel Swarms in the Bay of Storms are either bad data or have been removed.
I have seen green squares where there should be Un'Goro Soil. Where do I start my troubleshooting, here? Gathermate2?
Pls advise.

It sounds like there’s a mismatch between the treasure type and the icon. I’ll check if it’s the same on my version and see if I can find a cause.
Thanks for the info
ditto same here, installed via twitch client both (gathermate 2 classic and this) addons are up to date.
If i remove this addon and install the wow head one, the import shows up correctly.
Was able to get it to work by editing `GatherMateData.lua` `generatedVersion to `486`
In reply to cswelin:
Thanks for the info - it appears that the author of the "WowHead" (not really WoWHead) data pack took my code and then incremented the "version" so that it will always be labelled as more recent than mine even if it isn't and is missing data that is included here. As such anyone who installs the "WoWHead" version would no longer be able to update from data contained here.
The "version" was added to allow auto-import of data should there be a new release. I never followed this as I didn't consider it necessary. However, it seems that as another author has decided to use it, tagging my data obsolete I may have to add code to check the current "version" and increment as necessary.
Many thanks for the information.
I need a little help, when installing the addon in the folder it does not recognize it, I do not know how to make it recognize it
In reply to xpaco4220:
How did you install it? I usually recommend using the Curse/Twitch interface if you're unsure. Make sure to do it when the game is not running (or exit the game completely and restart it after installing any new addon).
You won't see any options available, but you should be able to import the data following the instructions above in the addon description.
Is there any way to only import the Black Lotus spawn points?
In reply to Forge_User_47382293:
If you want to only show Black Lotus on the map, that's something you can choose in GM2 - In the addon settings go to filters, then under herbalism just select the nodes you want to see on the map(s).
If you want to show all, but only import BL (so only see your own nodes for others) then you would need to significantly edit the addon. GM2 only allows you to choose at a profession level what to import. Not a node type level.
I downloaded the lastest update to get the lotus spawns and did an overwrite import instead of a merge import. Now all the lotus show up, but all the icecaps disappeared from Winterspring. Is this a bug? I can't see any of the old icecap spawns in Winterspring
In reply to PerplexOW:
Have to admit I just merged so didn’t see anything missing. I’ll look into this. There are definitely spawn points I Wowhead. My guess is that I just put the wrong GM2 I’d against them in the config. They should definitely be listed.
In reply to TheSpanishInq:
No worries. I ended up importing the missing data from wowhead myself using another data pack available on here. That seemed to fix it. Not sure exactly what went wrong.
In reply to PerplexOW:
Thanks for the pointer - icecaps are back in the latest version
In reply to PerplexOW:
I am having the same issue with the icecaps disappearing. Where did you go to fix it?
I'd recommend you've got the correct version of Gathermate2. Nothing in this addon changes the function of that. It could throw lua errors, or just not import but I don't think it can change how GM2 looks.
Anyone else having issues importing this because gathermate import section is blank? It has worked before. :(

Any update incoming for the recent Black Lotus spawn increase?
In reply to Forge_User_11195072:
Wasn't planning on it, but found that Wowhead has the nodes now and I have found how to export them. So, herbalism update applied with new Black Lotus nodes. Other professions to come soon(ish)
Does this dataset have fishing nodes?
