How It Works
Every 5 levels, you earn one spell slot and must choose a single class spell to add to your allowed arsenal. Outside of your chosen spells and a small set of class defaults, using any other class ability is considered a violation and gets logged automatically.
Key Features
Spell Selection System — At each milestone bracket (levels 1, 5, 10, 15... up to 60), a spell picker window appears letting you choose one class spell from your spellbook. You must choose your level 1 spell immediately. However, you can defer every other picks and lock them later when you are ready. You can do so by clicking the available spell slots directly from the main panel. Shaman players receive two additional free spell slots at levels 10 & 40, each dedicated to a totem spell of their choice, selectable from the full list of Shaman totems across all four elements.
Default Allowed Spells — Every class has a curated whitelist of spells that are always permitted without requiring a slot, including, but not limited to, stances, shapeshifts, pet management, weapon enchants, auras, mounts, and racial abilities. All consumables, primary professions and secondary professions are allowed. You can access this information in-game using the Info button on the main panel.
Violation Logging — Every time a forbidden class skill is used, a violation is recorded with the spell name, timestamp, level, and zone, viewable at any time through the Log window.
Reset Tokens — Every 10 levels you earn a reset token, allowing you to undo a spell choice and pick again. Tokens can be spent by right-clicking a locked spell directly in the main panel.
Eligibility Checks & Self-Found Enforcement — The challenge can only be started on a fresh level 1 character with zero experience. The addon also requires the Self-Found Adventurer buff to be active at all times. Characters that do not meet these requirements are shown an ineligibility notice and all addon functionality is disabled.
Party Announcement — When joining a group, the addon automatically notifies party members that you are playing under the Spell Locked challenge.
