Know instantly when a raider is playing the wrong spec.
Spec Switch Announce imports your Raid-Helper signup (not required) and watches your raid for anyone playing a different talent spec than they signed up for - then warns you however you like: raid chat, a sound, on-screen text, or a clean on-screen off-spec list.
Built for the WoW Classic Anniversary (TBC, 2.5.x) realms with Dual Talent. It detects specs by reading talent points, so it works for both dual-spec swaps and full respecs.
Features
- Raid-Helper import - paste your event's JSON export and it knows everyone's signed-up spec.
- Spec Board - a resizable window listing every raider with a class icon, their Expected spec, and what they're Actually playing. Green = correct, red = off-spec. Live off-spec counter in the title.
- Flexible alerts when someone is off-spec - pick any combination:
- Chat: Raid Warning /rw, Raid /r, Party, Say, Yell, Only me (private), or off
- Warning sound
- Big on-screen warning text
- A movable on-screen list of everyone currently off-spec
- Scan on ready check - instantly inspects the whole raid the moment a ready check starts (perfect final check before a pull).
- Build your roster ahead of time - add, rename, remove, and assign specs to members manually. Fix Discord-name-vs-character mismatches in a click.
- Smart scope controls - master Enable/Disable, plus "only run while in a raid" so it stays silent in 5-mans and solo.
Important: only YOU need this addon
It works by inspecting players near you (about 28 yards, the game's inspect range), so you don't need your whole guild to install anything. Players who are far away simply fill in once they get close.
Quick start
1. Type /ssa import and paste your Raid-Helper signup JSON.
2. Type /ssa show to open the Spec Board.
3. Open Options → AddOns → Spec Switch Announce to choose how you want to be warned.
