Speak My Language is a very simple chat add-on that removes messages in languages you don't want to see.
Note: This add-on is incomplete! There are more languages and features planned. The dictionary of blocked words is far from comprehensive and cannot account for typos or slang.
Features:
- Automatically scans each message for words in various languages, then removes the message from your chat window.
- Places the filtered messages into a chat window named "Filtered" if it exists, then highlights the triggering words, just in case!
- Currently blocks Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish.
Planned:
- Additional languages.
- Partial matches for some words.
- User interface.
- Options for whitelisting guild, party, and raid.
- Toggle for sending filtered messages to a user-defined chat window.
- Options to only block specific languages.
- Localization and support for non-English-speaking users.
Known Issues:
- Upper case special characters are not being highlighted. (Solved in next update)
