Sonah Forever is the World of Warcraft: Forever edition of Sonah, by the same author. It shows what to press next and which talent to take next, for every class and spec from level 1 to 60.

Sonah only suggests. You press every button yourself. Nothing is automated.

Why Sonah Forever?

• One addon for every class. Rotation suggestions, talent builds, alerts and reminders, all in one place.
• Written for Forever. It uses the new Forever spells and talent trees, not old Classic rotations.
• Safe on Forever's hidden combat data. Forever hides some combat values from addons. Sonah reads everything through a safe layer, so it doesn't throw errors in combat. When the game hides a value, Sonah falls back to your own casts and Blizzard's usable checks.
• Helpful from level 1. Every class has a leveling template before your first talent point, and talent builds start at level 10.

Rotation Helper

Next-Ability Suggestions

• Shows the ability to press now, plus a short queue of what comes next
• AoE detection switches to your multi-target priority when several enemies are on you. Ranged AoE (Blizzard, Rain of Fire, Hurricane, Volley, Multi-Shot) also counts the pack you're standing back from
• Your cast comes first: Sonah never suggests the spell you're already casting again, never asks you to cancel a cast for a defensive, and keeps your channel on the icon unless an interrupt, a defensive or a better spell should cut it short
• Procs and reactive abilities (Execute, Overpower, Revenge, Hammer of Wrath, Shadow Word: Death, Mongoose Bite and more) are suggested as soon as they light up
• DoT, HoT and buff upkeep, so you refresh at the right time
• Cooldown slot for major cooldowns, racials and on-use trinkets
• Always uses the highest spell rank you know, and warns you when a lower rank is still on your bars
• Smart range: melee abilities only when you are in melee range, close-range AoE only when enemies are near you, and spells out of range shown tinted red. Range follows your talents (Hawk Eye, Arctic Reach, Holy Reach and more)
• The right auto-attack for your class: Auto Shot, wand or melee, based on your weapon, ammo and range

Choose Your Engine

Custom Rotation Editor

• Build your own priority list per spec from simple conditions (cooldown ready, buff missing, proc active, enemies nearby and more)
• Save, load and share rotations. Exclude spells you never want suggested.

Action Bar & Spellbook Glow

• Glows the suggested ability on your action bars, with pixel, ants or Blizzard glow styles and colour presets
• Works with Blizzard bars, ElvUI, Bartender4, Dominos and other LibActionButton-based bars, including bar paging (stances, stealth, modifier pages)
• Shows your keybind on the suggestion icon (Bartender4 and Dominos bindings included) and greys the icon out with a red Out of Range label when your target is out of range
• Optional glow on major cooldowns when they're ready
• Spellbook glow: if a suggested spell isn't on your bars, Sonah shows you which spellbook tab and page it's on

Combat Alerts

• KICK! when your target casts something you can interrupt and your interrupt is ready
• DEFENSIVE! when your health drops below your chosen threshold and a defensive is ready
• PURGE when an enemy has a magic buff you can remove (out of combat)
• EXECUTE! on the icon when your target drops below the execute threshold (20% by default) and you know an execute such as Execute, Hammer of Wrath or Shadow Word: Death
• Optional sounds, plus a test mode (/sonah testalert)

Talent Guide

Leveling, Endgame & PvP Builds

• Leveling (10-60) and endgame builds for every spec, plus PvP builds, made for the new Forever talent trees
• Full 51-point builds that include the milestone talents

Next-Talent Glow

• A green NEXT arrow on the talent to take in Blizzard's talent window
• A reminder when you have unspent points
• A Next Talent popup after a level-up (/sontalents). Level up mid-fight and it waits until combat ends. Escape closes it, and it remembers where you put it

Compare Overlay & Build Browser

• Compare overlay: see which talents match your chosen build, which are partial, and which are missing or not in the build
• Build browser (/sonbuilds): preview every build for your spec before you commit
• Tracks your progress through the build
• Share build: post your build in one chat line to Say, Party, Raid, Guild or a whisper, with one click

Healer Features

• Heal suggestions for your mouseover (players, group members and pets, never friendly NPCs), your friendly target, or you
• With no friendly target, heal suggestions check the tank (below 80%) or the lowest ally in your group
• In combat too: Forever hides group health from addons in combat, so Sonah estimates it from the damage and healing your group takes. Until it knows anything, it keeps your HoTs and shields on the tank, never suggests a big heal on a guess, and the warning line asks you to mouse over who to heal
• Sonah remembers who your Renew, Rejuvenation, Regrowth, Riptide and Power Word: Shield went on, so a HoT on you never hides a missing one on the tank
• The heal target's name shows on the icon (optional). Sonah never changes your target
• HoT and shield upkeep, group heals and dispel prompts
• Heal Only mode, or damage suggestions when nobody needs healing

Tank Features

• Specs for Protection Warrior, Protection Paladin and Feral (Bear) Druid
• Feral Druids go Bear when they tank a group and Cat otherwise, or pick it yourself with the Feral in groups option
• Defensive cooldown suggestions, plus the DEFENSIVE! alert at your chosen health threshold (/sonah threshold)

PvP Support

• Battleground-aware: Sonah knows when you're in a battleground or fighting an enemy player
• AoE suggestions are off in battlegrounds by default, so a crowd of players doesn't hijack your rotation (turn them on with AoE in PvP in Settings > Combat, or /sonah aoepvp)
• PvP trinket and breaker suggestions, PvP talent builds and PvP macros
• /sonah pvp shows what Sonah detects

Buff Tracker & Reminders

• Buff tracker strip for your important buffs, DoTs and procs
• Out-of-combat reminders for missing self-buffs, auras, seals, aspects, armors, shields, poisons, weapon imbues and pets. They wait while you're mounted, on a flight path, or eating and drinking
• Group buffs: Priests are reminded when someone in their group is missing Fortitude or Divine Spirit, and the icon shows who
• Mages are reminded to conjure a mana gem, and Warlocks to create a Healthstone, when their bags have none
• The warning line above the icon names a missing buff, a spell that isn't on your bars or a lower rank on your bars (you can turn it off)
• Show reminders out of combat: the display stays hidden out of combat but still pops up for a reminder (optional)
• Pet care for Hunters and Warlocks: call, revive or mend your pet

Stats & Performance

Live DPS / HPS

• DPS and HPS from Blizzard's built-in damage meter, the same numbers its own window shows, in the Stats window and in an optional strip under the icon
• APM, downtime, rotation efficiency (how often you pressed what Sonah suggested), personal bests and your last 10 fights

GearScore

• Your GearScore, average item level and weakest slots (/sonah gear)
• GearScore on player tooltips
• See which group and guild members also use Sonah (/sonah users)
• What Sonah shares: your addon version, GearScore and average item level, sent as hidden addon messages to other Sonah users in your group and guild. It is never sent in combat, during boss encounters or in PvP. Turn it off under Settings > Parsing > Sonah Users. Group Sync is separate (see above)

Macro Library

• Ready-made macros for every class: class, per-spec PvE and PvP, saved to that character only
• Account macros for all your characters: trinkets, focus, skull marker, ready check and more
• Create one with a single click (/sonah macros)

Group Sync

• Sonah users in your party or raid share interrupts and big cooldowns through hidden addon messages
• The kick alert shows who kicks next, and a small line under the display lists recent group cooldowns
• /sonah group lists who in your group uses Sonah
• Players without Sonah see nothing, and nothing is posted to chat. Turn it off under Settings > Combat

Profiles

• Save, load, copy and rename settings profiles
• Import / export strings to share setups
• Optional automatic profile switch per spec

UI & Display

• Movable, scalable rotation display with queue length, opacity and lock options

Languages: Play Sonah in Your Language

Sonah Forever is fully translated into 6 languages, not just the menus:

• Everything is translated: every settings page, tooltip and button, the reason shown under each suggestion ("why press this now?"), combat alerts, buff reminders, talent build names and notes, macro descriptions, slash command help and chat messages.
• Official WoW terms: spell and talent names use the names you see in your own game client.
• Automatic: on an English, German, Spanish (Spain or Mexico), French or Chinese client, Sonah picks that language on its own (Traditional Chinese clients get Simplified Chinese). Other client languages use English.
• Your choice: want a different language than your client? Open Settings > Language, pick one, and reload. Japanese is picked here, since there is no Japanese WoW client. Chinese and Japanese display correctly even on a client in another language.
• Works on every client language: spells are matched by their in-game IDs and talents by their place in the talent tree, so suggestions, glows, the talent guide and macros work the same on German, French, Spanish, Chinese or English clients.

Installation

1. Install with the CurseForge app, or download and extract to World of Warcraft/<your Forever folder>/Interface/AddOns/
2. The folder must be named Sonah
3. /reload or restart the game

Slash Commands

Not Available on Forever

Forever restricts the combat log and hides some combat values from addons. These TBC Sonah features can't work there and aren't included:

• DR tracking, enemy cooldown tracking, burst warnings and arena targets
• Combat-log heal prediction, overheal prevention and damage history

Typing the old PvP commands (/sonah dr, arena, burst, enemycd) prints a short message explaining this.

FAQ

Does Sonah play the game for me? No. Sonah only shows a suggestion and a glow. You press every button yourself. It doesn't cast spells, target anyone or spend talent points.

Is Sonah available in German, French, Spanish, Chinese or Japanese? Yes. Sonah is fully translated into English, Deutsch, Español, Français, 日本語 and 简体中文. It uses your client's language automatically, and you can switch it any time under Settings > Language (that's where you pick Japanese).

Does it work on World of Warcraft: Forever? Yes. It's made for the Forever client and its new spells and talent trees.

What should I press as a new or returning player? Follow the big icon. It's the next ability in your spec's priority, and the glow shows you where it is on your bars. When your target is out of range, the icon turns grey with a red "Out of Range" label.

What are the best talents for my spec? Open /sonah talents or /sonbuilds and choose a leveling, endgame or PvP build. The NEXT arrow in the talent window then guides every point.

Does it help while leveling? Yes. Every class has a level 1-9 template, and every spec has a 10-60 leveling talent build.

Does it work in PvP and battlegrounds? Yes. Sonah knows when you're in a battleground or fighting a player, has PvP suggestions for every class (interrupts, CC breakers, peels), keeps AoE suggestions off there by default, and suggests your PvP trinket only when you're stunned, feared or charmed. Enemy DR and cooldown tracking aren't possible on Forever (see above).

Why can't it read exact enemy health or my resources in combat? Forever hides those values from addons. Sonah uses what the game still provides (usable checks, range, procs, your own casts and the damage and healing your group takes), so suggestions stay reliable without errors.

Does it work with ElvUI, Bartender4 or Dominos? Yes. The glow and keybind display work with Blizzard bars, ElvUI, Bartender4, Dominos and LibActionButton-based bars. The glow stays under any window you open over your bars.

Can I change the rotation? Yes. Use the custom rotation editor, exclude spells, or switch the engine to Hybrid or Blizzard.

Does Sonah send any data? Only hidden addon messages to other Sonah users. Your addon version, GearScore and average item level go to your group and guild (never in combat, during encounters or in PvP; turn it off under Settings > Parsing > Sonah Users). With Group Sync on, your interrupts and big cooldowns go to your party or raid (never during boss encounters or in PvP; turn it off under Settings > Combat). Nothing leaves the game.

Is this the same addon as Sonah for TBC? It's the same author and the same idea, written separately for Forever. Install the version that matches your game.
