SoD Hardcore: The Guild Found Challenge
A custom, community-focused Hardcore ruleset and enforcement engine built specifically for World of Warcraft: Season of Discovery.
SoD Hardcore is a lightweight, highly immersive modification that strictly enforces survival rules for players embarking on a "Guild Found" Hardcore journey. This addon is designed to promote tight-knit community play, prevent exploits, and maintain the absolute integrity of a true, permanent-death challenge in the Season of Discovery.
⚙️ Functional Overview
This addon acts as an automated dungeon master, silently monitoring your gameplay to enforce the challenge rules:

Fresh Start Verification: You cannot smuggle items into your run. The addon rigorously checks new Level 1 characters to ensure they have exactly 0 copper, no pending mail, and no equipped bags (with native exemptions for Hunter starter quivers).

The Hall of Fame: Characters who successfully reach Level 60 are permanently immortalized in a custom, guild-wide Hall of Fame UI. The list seamlessly synchronizes with other guild members via a silent whisper-back network, ensuring no legend is forgotten.

Anti-Cheese Enforcement: The addon actively detects and punishes mechanics that bypass the spirit of Hardcore. Using a Petri Flask or successfully completing a Bubble Hearth will immediately flag your run as invalid, publicly branding cowardice in the guild chat. It also aggressively monitors and strips forbidden world buffs (like Discoverer's Delight past Level 10).

Native HC Record Tab: Your Hardcore journey is tracked directly on your Character Panel. A custom parchment UI displays your live run status (Valid, Invalid, Coward, or Dead), dynamically lists any rules you've broken in bright red text, and tracks which raid tiers you have conquered (BFD, Gnomeregan, Sunken Temple, Onyxia, and Zul'Gurub).

Economy & Grouping Engine: The addon actively monitors group and trade activity. If you group with or attempt to trade with a non-guild member, or open the Auction House, the addon will automatically block the action and log a rule violation.

Death Protocol & Death Board: Death is permanent. Upon character death, the addon records the fatal event, logs your "last words," and broadcasts the tragedy to your guild. You are then presented with a secure "Try Again?" prompt.

Anti-Ghost Data Protection: Going "agane" with the same name? The addon uses native unique GUID tracking to distinguish between dead characters and fresh rerolls, instantly wiping old progression data the moment you spawn in.

Immersive Onboarding: Upon your first login, you are greeted by an interactive welcome scroll outlining the stipulations. You are also provided a secure "Rune Broker" targeting popup to ensure you don't forget your starter runes before venturing out!
📜 The Stipulations
By clicking "Start Journey," you swear to the following pact:

Death is permanent. If you die, your journey ends.

Guild-only groups. You may only group with members of your own guild within 10 levels of you.

Guild-only trading. You may only trade with members of your own guild once you reach level 60.

No Auction House. Your wealth must be earned, crafted, or traded internally.

No Smuggling. You must start at Level 1 with empty pockets and no extra bags.

No Cowardice. Bubble Hearthing and Petri Flasks are strictly forbidden.

No XP Boosts. Discoverer's Delight must be turned off to maintain the leveling challenge.

Raid Buffs must be unlocked by the guild progressing through the required raid.
