Description

What this does

I always loved stumbling upon players again and again on your journey to 60. The ones that you saved from certain death, the ones that actively didnt, the weird ones in Goldshire Inn, and the gankers in STV.

What I always felt was missing was a sort of social Diary that logs all those events:

  • When you first met somebody,
  • when you did a dungeon together,
  • when they ding'ed,
  • what you talked about.

This addon provides exactly that. It allows you to look into a social history with each player you add to your diary. It also tracks any player in your vicinity, so you can look them up later and add them. Gone are the days where you quest with someone and forget their name!

Features

There are lots of it.

The two biggest features are your own Diary entry and adding other players to your diary.

Your Diary tracks the exact path you take through the world. The Addon detects and computes memorable moments, such as a close call with a mob, grinding forever for that last quest item, stuff like that. I really want to provide an addon that does not provide numbers and stats, but actual memories.

The other big feature is diary entries of other players. Imagine meeting someone that helped you. Then you add them with a note about the event, and they get moved into your diary. Now, the addon checks wether you have actually met them before. Maybe you stumbled across earlier -- the Addon tracks all strangers you meet, and it puts it retroactively into their diary entry.

Then there are lots of smaller features:

You can also add custom tags to players which could be useful for trading or RP. PvP stats are tracked for enemy players including vicinity alerts.

The addon also provides a map heatmap so you can see where you've run into players or a specific one!

A proper feature list will come later. Just check it out yourself. All data is kept on your end of course.

Getting Started

Type /sd to open the journal or use the button in the social menu (O-Button).

Turn on nameplates in the settings! Else the addon can't see who's around!
