SmuveUI is a dark, polished reskin of the default WoW interface, built for the "Forever" custom client.
Look & feel
- Dark Mode tints the default UI's borders and panels almost black, with an adjustable darkness level — the game's own textures and icons stay untouched, just the surrounding frame art goes dark.
- Class-colored and reaction-colored (red/yellow/green) health bars on the player, target, focus, and target-of-target frames, plus class-colored names.
Combat awareness
- A big icon on your (and your target's) portrait highlighting the single most important thing affecting them right now — crowd control, a dangerous debuff, or an important buff like a shield or defensive cooldown — so you don't have to hunt through a row of tiny icons. (Still experimental/work in progress.)
- Enemy nameplates are simplified: crowd control shows on one side, important enemy buffs on the other, your own debuffs sit in a clean row, the name moves above the health bar for readability, and anything you can purge or dispel gets a glowing border.
- Target and focus frames get their own clean buff/debuff display with adjustable icon size and layout.
- Party frames show each member's buffs, plus their current crowd control or important buffs front and center — something the default UI doesn't offer at all.
- Your own buffs and debuffs get a cleaner look: cropped icons, a thin border, big readable countdown timers, and a colored border that tells you a debuff's type at a glance (poison, curse, disease, magic, or none).
- The "can't act" alert (stuns, silences, etc.) is centered on screen with the same clean, cropped look as everything else.
Character sheet
- Equipped items get a border colored by rarity and a short note of their enchant (or a red "Missing" if there isn't one).
- Item level is shown directly on the icon for both equipped gear and equipment sitting in your bags or bank.
Quality of life
- Loot rolls show a live count of who chose Need, Greed, or Pass (hover to see names), and stay visible until everyone's decided.
- Faster loot takes every item in a loot window at once instead of one at a time.
- Chat tabs, channels, colors, and font size can be shared across all your characters automatically, links in chat become clickable and copyable, and chat history survives reloads.
- Action bars can be set to always show, only show on mouseover, or stay hidden per bar, with a range indicator dimming abilities you're too far away to use.
- Minimap buttons get tucked into a single box (right-click the map to open it) instead of cluttering the screen.
- Additional damage meter window automatically matches the size of your first one.
- The built-in quest tracker can be hidden automatically when you're using a separate quest-guide addon.
