    fix + refactor + help improve

    - use implicit-self instead of global references everywhere
    - factor out initializes from addon-scope to functions called on
      ADDON_LOADED to avoid bad order between half-assembled addon
      state. also only register hook later.
    - add current mode to slashcmd without arguments
