v1.0.1 — Initial Hardcore release

First release of SlotStatus Hardcore, a dedicated build of SlotStatus tuned for the WoW Classic Era client (1.15.x). Same complete gear-maintenance suite as the TBC version, rebuilt to fit the vanilla paperdoll cleanly.

What's new in this build

  • Era / Hardcore compatibility## Interface: 11508, targets the Classic Era and Hardcore client (1.15.x).
  • Auto-fit durability bars — bar placement now derives from the actual slot button width at runtime instead of using TBC-tuned hardcoded offsets. Bars sit flush with each slot edge on the vanilla paperdoll out of the box, no slider tweaking required.
  • Migration safety — any stale barLeftOffset / barRightOffset values left over from an earlier load are cleared on first login, so users coming from preview builds get the corrected layout automatically.
  • Independent saved variables — runs alongside the TBC version of SlotStatus without conflict; each addon folder gets its own per-character savefile.

Carried over from SlotStatus

Every feature from the TBC build ships in this Hardcore release:

  • Slot-aligned durability bars on the Character Frame, color-coded by tier
  • Per-slot repair cost in tooltips + total repair summary
  • Nearest-vendor lookup with subzone and faction awareness
  • World map vendor pins with anvil icons
  • Vendor auto-discovery from merchant interactions
  • Three-tier warning system (low durability, pre-combat, animated bar pulse)
  • Gear Overview window
  • Merchant automations (auto-repair, guild bank first, auto-sell grays)
  • Minimap button + LibDataBroker-1.1 broker source
  • Full options panel — General, Warnings, Advanced, Stats tabs
  • Full slash-command suite (/ss / /slotstatus)
  • First-run welcome popup
  • Per-character saved variables, no library dependencies

Known limitations

  • The built-in vendor database currently includes TBC and Outland zones (Hellfire, Shattrath, Quel'Thalas hubs, etc.) for compatibility with the shared codebase. These are harmless on Era — the lookup will simply never match those zones — and will be trimmed in a future release.

Roadmap

  • v1.1.0 — Hardcore alert mode: red vignette + center alert + persistent corner badge when any equipped slot crosses a critical durability threshold
  • v1.1.0 — Tighter Hardcore-default warning thresholds (earlier yellow, earlier red, larger combat buffer)
  • v1.2.0 — Trimmed vendor database (drop TBC/Outland zones for a leaner Era-only dataset)
