Description
📌 Skill Peek shows your profession and weapon skills right under your player frame, and only when they move. Whether you're grinding Mining to 300 or leveling a new sword, every skill-up peeks out from under your portrait, lights up and counts up, then tucks itself away.
🔥 Features
✅ Peek on skill-up – A small stack slides out from under your player frame each time a skill goes up. The row that rose glows gold and its number ticks up (149 → 150), then the stack slides back after a few seconds. Hover it to keep it out.
✅ Looks like part of the game – Each row is a round icon in Blizzard's own ring with "150 / 225" in the game's font, so it reads like a piece of your player frame.
✅ Time to train – A profession turns gold when you're close to your cap (by default, exactly when a trainer can teach you the next rank) and orange at the cap, when skill-ups are being lost. The tooltip says which level the next rank needs.
✅ Weapon skills, if you want them – Turn on Weapon Skills to add your equipped weapons (main hand, off hand, ranged, or Unarmed). The same numbers as Weapon Skill Coach. Skill-ups during a fight wait until it ends, then show all at once.
✅ Your rows, your way – A checkbox for each profession and secondary skill (Cooking, First Aid, Fishing, Archaeology, Lockpicking), three orders (Professions first, Weapons first, Highest skill first), Size and Peek Time.
✅ Always shown – Prefer to see your skills all the time? One setting. Skill-ups still light up the row.
✅ Stays out of the way – Follows your player frame in Edit Mode, sits below your pet frame and class bars, leaves room for Ammo Gauge, and never prints to chat. Shift-drag to move it.
✅ Blizzard-native – A settings page under Options > AddOns > Skill Peek, slash command /skillpeek (or /profpeek), and an Addon Compartment entry by the minimap.
✅ Works on WoW Forever, Retail, MoP Classic, Titan Reforged, TBC Anniversary and Classic Era. Weapon skills on WoW Forever, Titan Reforged, TBC Anniversary and Classic Era (the other clients don't have them).
