SITREP – the calm glass HUD for WoW: Forever
Good to know:
Activate nameplates (friendly, hostile and npcs) for a nicer experience of the UI :)
Questing without searching
Click a quest and an arrow takes you there. The difference to other addons: SITREP finds you the quickest way.
- The nearest place wins: if a quest has several areas to farm, the arrow picks the one you reach fastest and turns when you run to another.
- Fly when it pays: if going by flight master is quicker, the arrow points to the flight point and tells you where to fly.
- Round mountains and lakes: the arrow knows the ways you have walked and leads you round instead of into the cliff.
- World map: for the chosen quest you see where its mobs spawn, how fast they come back and how often they drop. Plus every flight point, also the ones you still have to unlock.
- Other quests on the way: pass a mob another quest needs and its nameplate flashes. If a quest lies almost on your way, the arrow suggests it.
- Is the quest worth it? The tracker shows XP per minute compared to grinding, marks quests that are almost done and shows every objective.
- Quest items are marked gold in the loot window and in your bags, with your progress.
Learns with you – for all your characters
WoW: Forever has no database like Wowhead. SITREP builds its own as you play, and your next character benefits from it.
- Bestiary: every mob you pass is remembered with its place and level. Accept a quest and SITREP tells you right away where you have already seen its mob.
- Respawn times and grinding spots: SITREP measures how fast mobs come back and shows with
/sitrep spotswhere grinding pays off most. - Drop rates: how many kills a quest item takes on average is learned and counted into the quest rating.
- Ways: walked paths and swims are kept. On the map you can draw water, rough terrain and cliffs yourself. Ways can be shared with other players.
- Questbook: where you got and handed in a quest is kept.
/sitrep routesuggests an order on your next character.
Combat and group
In a fight SITREP shows what matters and leaves out the rest.
- Enemy players get a clear ring round their nameplate and stand out from mobs at once.
- Group focus: a ring shows which enemy your group is on, and how many of you.
- Dispelling: small orbs on friendly nameplates show what you can dispel, in the colour of its kind (magic, curse, poison, disease).
- Target frame that grows with what it shows: buffs above, debuffs below, combo points, range, your target's target. A pet shows whose it is, and a click targets its owner.
- Hover window next to the mouse instead of the tooltip: race and class, guild, what you can dispel, quest objectives and what your group still needs.
- Zen mode for friendly players: just the name and a thin health line, so enemies stand out from the crowd.
Tidy and yours to arrange
One glass look for the whole interface: calm when nothing happens, clear when it counts.
- Chat that folds away and briefly shows only new messages.
- Minimap, action bars and menu in the same style. Empty action slots disappear until you drag something in.
- Vendors and trainers show an icon above their head for what they do (repair, inn, flight master, trainer …) instead of a health bar.
- XP line on the player frame, also for hunter pets.
- Everything movable and scalable. New players start with a ready layout;
/sitrep resettakes you back to it any time. - Light: about half a millisecond per frame on average, even with many nameplates.
