Simply RP - Focus

Focus for those times when you’re trying to follow a scene in /say or /me, but are in a crowded scene. In real life, we tune out walls of noise to focus on people nearby and important to us. This addon seeks to replicate that behavior.

The addon adds a normal Blizzard chat tab called RP Focus. It works like the tabs already attached to your chat window, so there’s no extra panel taking up screen space. Your regular chat stays untouched. Focus simply gives you a quieter view containing your own roleplay and the /say and /me messages from the people you’re currently paying attention to.

Characters can have either temporary or permanent focus. Everyone in your group receives temporary focus automatically, and they’re removed when they leave. You can temporarily focus other nearby players as well. Temporary focus clears when you /reload, making it useful for a scene without leaving you with a list to clean up afterward. Players that are added have their previous messages pulled in and filtered. So, if someone was trying to get your attention, failed, and finally did-- now you can catch up with previous things they said.

Permanent focus stays between sessions. It’s meant for regular partners, friends, or other characters whose writing you generally want to keep visible!
