Description
Simply RP - Character Sheet
Simply RP - Character Sheet is a roleplay addon that adds a tabletop-style character sheet for players who want lightweight dice-based mechanics in their RP. It gives each character a configurable set of attributes,
skills, proficiencies, levels, and saved builds, then uses those values when making in-game rolls.
By default, the addon uses a D&D 5e-like ruleset with familiar attributes such as Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma, along with related skills like Athletics, Stealth, Arcana, Perception, Persuasion, and others. Players can adjust their scores, mark skill proficiencies, track a point budget, and roll directly from the character sheet without needing to calculate modifiers by hand.
The addon supports custom rulesets if the default D&D 5e ruleset is not to your liking. You can create, save and then export/import those rulesets.
The addon’s roll buttons use WoW’s actual roll system, then add a short explanation afterward, such as which skill or attribute was rolled and what modifier was applied. It also supports advantage and disadvantage rolls, making it easier to handle common RP situations where a character has a clear edge or setback.
Players can save multiple character builds, which is useful for alternate versions of a character, different campaign rules, temporary event setups, or separate RP concepts on the same WoW character. The sheet also supports custom rulesets, so groups are not limited to the default D&D-like setup. Rulesets can define their own attributes, skills, point budgets, proficiency rules, level behavior, and progression values.
For group roleplay, the addon includes DM-facing tools. A party or raid leader can broadcast a ruleset to the group, check whether players are using the same ruleset, audit character levels, and optionally apply a group level range when custom levels are enabled. This helps keep event participants on the same mechanical footing without requiring everyone to manually compare sheets.
The addon can be opened from its minimap button or with slash commands. Left-clicking the minimap button opens the character sheet, right-clicking opens the DM interface, and dragging the button moves it. Common commands include /srpcs to open the sheet, /srpcs config for settings and rulesets, /srpcs roll [skill or attribute], and quick roll commands like /rollstealth or /rollstr.
In practical RP use, the addon helps players turn character strengths, weaknesses, and specializations into simple shared mechanics. A stealthy rogue can roll Stealth with their proper modifier, a scholar can make Arcana or History checks, a diplomat can roll Persuasion, and an event leader can ask for checks without stopping the scene to explain math. It is meant to support roleplay, not replace it: the sheet provides structure when a group wants fair rolls, consistent character capabilities, and easier event management.
