SimpleRP

If your favorite ice cream flavor is vanilla, if you like the taste of tapwater, then this Roleplaying addon might just be for you.

It's a simple Roleplaying addon for simple Roleplayers.

It has a rich template presence for viewing the profiles of other players who use the same addon, while displaying the profiles of players who use other addons such as TRP3 or MRP in a generalized best effort template. 

You can also roll custom dice!

Features

Character Profile

• Identity: Prefix, first name, surname, title, race, class, nationality, faction
• Background: Birthplace, age, skills (with profession icons), origin, childhood, and early life — each with freeform backstory text
• Status: IC/OOC toggle, "Currently" status with optional expiry timer (5 min to 1 hour, or never)

Companion Profiles 

• Full RP profiles for your combat pets and demons and non-combat pets — name, species, owner, birthplace, age, origin, relationship, and backstory text
• At a Glance panel for companions: Health, Mood, Appearance, Fatigue with dropdown and detail text
• Skills picker with categorised checkboxes
• Kinship (Hunter) , Obedience (Warlock) and Affection (Critters) stat sliders
• Per-companion "Currently" status with expiry timer
• Profiles are keyed to pet name + creature family, so each pet has its own identity
• Other classes can view companion profiles but not create them

At a Glance

Quick-read status panel showing Health, Mood, Appearance, and Fatigue — each with a dropdown selection and optional detail text. Appears near the target frame when you target a player with a profile.

Scheduler

You can automate your 'Currently' status with a schedule so it always stays fresh. The timers on individual statuses only tick down when you're Online and In-Character.

Daily Check-In

On first login each day, a prompt give you an option to update your At a Glances and Currently stasus — a quick way to keep your character's status Fresh!

Hunger

Your character gets progressively more hungry and they'll let you and the world know. They only get hungry when you're In-Character and logged in! You 'fix' this by eating, or more specifically gaining the 'Well Fed' buff. 

Multiplayer

• MSP support — your profile is visible to TotalRP3, MyRolePlay, and other MSP-compatible addons
• Native SimpleRP exchange — when two SimpleRP users meet, structured data (glance info, backstory fields) is exchanged automatically for a richer viewer experience
• Companion exchange — your active pet's companion profile is included in the native exchange, so other SimpleRP users can see your pet's RP identity, glance data, and currently status
• Auto-upgrade — if you're viewing someone's MSP data and native SimpleRP data arrives, the viewer upgrades seamlessly

Tooltip Integration

• Your RP name, title, race, class, and faction replace the default tooltip info when targeting yourself or other RP addon users
• IC/OOC indicator and "Currently" status shown in the tooltip
• Pet tooltips: hovering a pet with a companion profile shows its RP name, species, and owner — works for your own pets and other SimpleRP users' pets in the open world and in instanced content. (Non-Combat pets do not work inside instances. Sorry!)

Dice Roller & Dice Bag

/rp roll XdY — roll dice with formatted output. Non-addon users see it as an emote; SimpleRP users get a clean formatted display with duplicate suppression.

The Dice Maker (in the Tools section of your character sheet) lets you create custom dice presets — pick from d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20, or d100 and save them to your bag. Open the Dice Bag with /rp dicebag to roll your saved dice with one click, with channel selection for where the result is broadcast.

Minimap Button

• Left-click: open your character sheet
• Right-click: toggle IC/OOC
• Shift-Click: open your dice bag
• Draggable around the minimap edge
• Hover tooltip shows your current status

Quality of Life

• Two themes: Dark Parchment and Light Parchment
• Profile backup & import: serialise your profile to a copyable string, paste it on another character
• Profile Backup Reminder
• Profile cache with size tracker and one-click purge
• Welcome popup (dismissable) with command reference

Quality of Life

Legacy emotes /spit and /moan have been restored to their Vanilla functionality with this addon. A 5 second cooldown was added to prevent abuse.

Currently Known Addon Conflicts

• AtlasLootClassic — ships a Classic-era ChatThrottleLib that is missing SendAddonMessageLogged, which Chomp and LibMSP need for whisper-based addon messaging. SimpleRP includes a shim (ChatThrottleShim.lua) that patches this automatically at load time. No action needed — if both addons are installed, the shim handles it. If you experience multiplayer issues with AtlasLoot installed, please report it.
