Description
SimpleHeal is a lightweight click-to-heal raid frame addon for WoW TBC Anniversary Edition (2.5.5). It provides clean, minimal unit frames designed specifically for healers who want fast, responsive healing without the complexity and overhead of larger addons like HealBot or VuhDo.
-- What it does --
SimpleHeal replaces the default raid frames with compact, information-dense unit frames that let you heal by clicking directly on them. Left click, right click, shift+click, and scroll wheel can each be bound to a different spell, giving you up to 8 instant spell bindings without any macros or keybinds.
-- Healing features --
Spell bindings are fully customizable through an in-game settings panel. Assign any healing, buffing, or utility spell to left click, right click, shift+click, scroll up, scroll down, and shift+scroll. Spells are cast on the unit you click — no targeting required.
Built-in presets for Resto Druid, Holy Paladin, Holy Priest, Discipline Priest, and Resto Shaman come pre-configured with sensible spell assignments. On first login, SimpleHeal detects your class and applies the matching preset automatically.
-- Visual indicators --
Each frame displays health with a colored bar, a name label, and a health deficit number. Beyond the basics, SimpleHeal tracks:
- HoT icons with duration timers for your own class spells (Rejuvenation, Lifebloom, Renew, etc.)
- Up to 4 configurable buff indicators with colored clock icons showing remaining duration
- Missing buff warnings as grayed-out icons
- "no thorns" text on tank frames missing Thorns (Druid only)
- Debuff highlight borders, filtered to only show debuffs you can actually dispel
- Incoming heal prediction bar
- Aggro border when a player has threat
- Resurrection indicator when a rez is incoming
- AFK text
- Mana bar
- Raid target icons (skull, cross, etc.)
- Ready check status icons
-- Group organization --
Frames are automatically sorted into role-based columns: tanks on the left, healers in the middle, and DPS on the right. Each column has a label. Pet frames for hunters and warlocks are shown below their owners at reduced size.
-- Profiles --
Save your spell configurations as named profiles and switch between them with one click. Useful if you run different spell setups for dungeons vs. raids, or PvP vs. PvE. An undo button lets you instantly revert if you accidentally change the wrong spell.
-- Spec awareness --
Set SimpleHeal to only show for a specific talent tree. When you switch to your off-spec, SimpleHeal hides itself and restores the default Blizzard raid frames automatically. Switch back to your healing spec and SimpleHeal reappears — no manual toggling needed.
-- Click-to-target mode --
An optional mode that targets the player AND casts your spell in one click. Useful when you need to see who you're healing or want to quickly inspect a target while still casting.
-- Slash commands --
/sh — Open the settings panel
/sh lock — Lock or unlock frame position
/sh target — Toggle click-to-target mode
/sh blizz — Manually toggle Blizzard raid frames
/sh reset — Reset frame position to center
-- Lightweight by design --
SimpleHeal is a single Lua file with no external libraries or dependencies. It loads fast, uses minimal memory, and stays out of your way. No flashy animations, no unnecessary panels — just clean healing frames that work.
