ShoutReminder – Battle Shout reminders for WoW Forever

Shout Reminder is a lightweight Battle Shout reminder for Warriors in WoW Forever. It warns you when Battle Shout is missing or about to expire, using a movable icon, countdown timer and configurable sound alerts.

Never lose track of Battle Shout. ShoutReminder is a lightweight, configurable Warrior addon built for World of Warcraft: Forever (1.60.1). It helps you maintain your buff with an on-screen icon, countdown information, and optional sounds.

Features

• Battle Shout tracking: recognizes spell ranks by ID and displays a reminder when the buff is missing or close to expiring.
• Adjustable warning time: choose a warning threshold from 5 to 90 seconds.
• Optional sounds: warning alert and a native aura-removal/expiration alert using Forever's available Blizzard API.
• Rage-aware reminders outside combat: an optional additional Rage buffer, adjustable from 0 to 50 Rage, helps avoid reminders when Battle Shout cannot be cast yet.
• Move and resize: unlock the reminder icon, drag it into position and resize it with the corner handle.
• Persistent settings: remembers position, size, sound preferences and warning settings between sessions.
• English and German UI: German on deDE clients, English fallback on other clients.
• In-game help window and quick slash commands.

Commands

/sr or /slr — open or close the settings panel

Important: WoW Forever combat limitations

During combat, Forever may restrict access to the aura data used by addons. ShoutReminder therefore falls back to a locally tracked Battle Shout timer. If the buff is removed early during combat, the icon may not update immediately and can continue showing the previous state until the timer expires or combat ends.

The native Blizzard aura-removal sound is intended to respond immediately when Battle Shout is lost, including in combat, provided that the client supports and successfully registers the relevant sound API. Casting Battle Shout again is tracked and refreshes the reminder.

When the client does not expose a readable Rage value, ShoutReminder falls back to checking spell usability; in that case, the additional configured Rage buffer cannot be enforced precisely.

Installation

Install using the CurseForge app, or extract the archive into your WoW Forever Interface/AddOns directory so that ShoutReminder/ShoutReminder.toc exists, then restart or reload the game.
