Shortlist! (M+ & Raid Recruiter)

Shortlist! rates every applicant to your Mythic+ keystone or raid listing (Normal, Heroic or Mythic) - and your formed group or raid - with a 0–5 star rating and a percentage.

Shortlist! M+ & Raid Recruiter

Stop guessing who to invite. Shortlist! rates every applicant to your Mythic+ or raid listing with a star rating and a percentage, based on item level, dungeon experience and how well their class or spec fits the current meta. Sort them, hover for the full breakdown, invite the right ones in one click. Lightweight, no bundled libraries, English and French (auto-detected). Works on its own; works even better next to Raider.IO and Details! (see "Works best with" below).

Recruiting

A sortable panel next to Blizzard's applicant viewer: one row per applicant with name, role, item level, M+ score and the Shortlist rating (0 to 5 stars + %). Click any column header to sort. Invite or decline from the row; statuses (Invited, Joined, Declined, Timed out…) appear as applications resolve. Hover a row to see exactly why the score is what it is.

How scoring works (M+): item level vs a recommendation auto-calibrated from the key's own loot table, best completed key in the listed dungeon (official data), and a per-spec meta rating you can edit. The key level is read from your listing title or your keystone.

Raids too: Normal, Heroic and Mythic listings are detected automatically and use a dedicated formula (item level vs the difficulty's suggested ilvl, class/role fit, M+ score as an activity signal).

Group analysis

One click (the "?" button, the minimap button or /rmm group) analyzes your formed party or raid: per-member scores, composition check with Bloodlust detection, a group rating and an estimated success chance. A clear key level selector lets you rate the group against any key, perfect when you run someone else's stone. The Announce button posts the summary to group chat.

Works best with (optional)

Recruiting needs nothing else: applicant data comes straight from Blizzard. Group analysis is where companions matter, because the game only lets an addon inspect a teammate's gear when they stand within about 28 yards. Shortlist! gets around that with several sources, used in this order:

  • Inspection when the player is in range (exact data).
  • Other Shortlist! users: members running the addon exchange their item level automatically, whatever the distance.
  • Details! (or any addon shipping LibOpenRaid): its gear sharing is read for members who don't have Shortlist!. Since most players run Details!, this covers almost everyone.
  • Raider.IO addon: its local database provides teammate scores and best runs per dungeon instantly, before Blizzard's own summary syncs. Keep it updated: it only knows what its last download knows. With none of these, far-away members show "ilvl ?" and are scored on experience and fit only. No setup required: each source is detected automatically.

Fully configurable

Every weight, penalty and severity slope is adjustable in a native settings panel: M+ scoring, raid scoring, group penalties, announce format, panel rows, minimap button, position lock. Slash commands cover everything too.

Commands

/shortlist shows the help in chat, with every command and its current values.

/shortlist options opens the settings menu (same as Options > AddOns > Shortlist!): weights, penalties, announce, minimap button.

/shortlist panel shows or hides the applicant panel (handy after closing it with the X, since that choice is remembered).

/shortlist group [N] toggles the group analysis window; with a number, sets its key level to +N (0 goes back to auto). Never affects applicant scoring.

/shortlist spec 252 5 sets a specialization's meta fit from 0 to 5 (here spec 252, Unholy DK, to 5/5). Saved per account, overrides the shipped data, applied instantly. Class version: /rmm class MAGE 4.

/shortlist calibration prints the calibration table for keys +2 to +15: recommended item level (with its source: auto, manual or fallback) and expected score per level.

/shortlist debug prints the detected context (key level and source, activity ID, raid mode) plus every pending applicant's score breakdown. The command to run before reporting a weird score.

Good to know

  • Ships with live Season 2 meta ratings for all 40 specs; edit them in game, in the options or in Donnees.lua.
  • Addons cannot query websites: everything is computed from in-game data and locally installed addon databases. Nothing leaves the game.
  • The success chance is an indicator, not a prophecy: it is clamped to 5-95% on purpose.
  • No API exposes an applicant's raid progression, so raid scores measure preparation (gear, fit), not raid experience. Feedback or Lua errors welcome in the comments.
