Scryer is a satirical and experimental project intended to explore what can be learned about players through information exposed by the game. It is not an excuse to harass, stalk, shame, target, discriminate against, or otherwise make another player's experience miserable. Don't use Scryer—or modifications of it—to facilitate that behaviour.

Scryer is an experimental project, and experimentation is kind of the point.

You are free to read, study, modify, break, rebuild, and otherwise experiment with the source code. You may create private forks, use portions of the code for learning, and adapt it for your own personal use.

Please don't take Scryer, make minor or cosmetic changes, and publish it as your own addon.

In particular, you may not:

• Redistribute or relist Scryer, substantially unchanged, under another name.

• Publish a modified version whose changes are primarily cosmetic, branding, naming, or other minor alterations.

• Represent Scryer, or a derivative that is substantially Scryer, as your own original work.

• Use the Scryer name, logo, or branding for an unofficial redistribution or derivative project.

Substantial original work inspired by Scryer is welcome. If you're experimenting with the code and end up building something genuinely different, that's exactly the sort of experimentation this project is intended to encourage.

When in doubt: learn from it, modify it, experiment with it, and build interesting things with it. Just don't slap a new name on Scryer and relist it.
