ScamAlert

ScamAlert

ScamAlert warns you when a player on your reported scammer list is near you, whispers you, or opens a trade with you. You build the list yourself, and you can share it with friends or your guild.

What it does

• Shows a red chat message and a large on-screen banner when a listed player is nearby, with an optional warning sound.
• Alerts you when a listed player whispers you, when you whisper them, and when they open a trade with you.
• Alerts you if a listed player is in your party or raid.
• Adds a skull above their nameplate and a "REPORTED SCAMMER" line to their tooltip.
• Keeps a searchable list window with the amount taken, who was scammed, the details and the date.

The alert reads like this:

<Firstname Lastname> has been reported for scamming Bobby for 500g. Please trade with caution.

Sharing a list

• Export and Import: use the buttons in the window, or the commands above. Export gives you a block of text to send to someone, and they paste it into Import. *The addon does not sync lists between players automatically.*
