Description
savyUI
savyUI reminds you about missing buffs, tracks the auras and cooldowns you care about, highlights threat on nameplates and records loot and completed trades. It also helps you manage your trinkets, adds talent and item-level information to tooltips, shows range estimates and brings everyday conveniences to the default WoW Forever UI.
Choose what to track, arrange everything in Edit Mode, and keep useful information where you can see it.
It uses native WoW Forever artwork, icons and settings controls to feel like a built-in part of the game and preserve the UI's familiar look.
Aggro Overlay
- Adds colored overlays to nameplates to make threat easier to notice: yellow warns about high threat, red shows aggro, magenta shows lost aggro when tanking.
- Optional PvP support highlights enemy players who are targeting you.
- Customize the appearance with persistent test overlays and optionally show threat percentages.
Modules
Create additional groups for Reminders, Aura Tracker and Cooldown Tracker, each with its own list, caption, position and appearance. Share groups across characters or keep them character-specific. Automatic presets remain in the default groups.
Reminders
A configurable icon row reminds you about missing personal buffs and selected items.
Besides your class's personal buffs, savyUI reminds you about missing Cozy Sleeping Bag and XP Food buffs, Healthstones, weapon poisons/stones and Gathering Professions tracking. It also warns you when you're low on Soul Shards or your pet is passive in combat.
Hide any reminder you don't care about on the fly:
- Right-click: hide a reminder for 30 minutes, or until
/reload. - Shift + Right-click: disable that reminder completely.
Custom Reminders
Drag a spell or consumable into your selected group, or click the drag-and-drop icon to enter a Spell ID or Item ID. Custom reminders appear when their buff is missing and their spell/item is off cooldown. Tooltips distinguish missing buffs from cooldowns that are ready to use.
Custom reminders support optional animated glows. Right-click snoozes a custom reminder; Shift+Right-click removes it from the list. Drag entries to rearrange their Added Order.
Aura Tracker
Track selected buffs active on you, including buffs from other classes such as Innervate or Power Infusion.
- Class-specific talent proc presets, such as Nightfall and Riposte, appear automatically when available.
- Add spells or usable items by drag and drop, or click the drop icon to enter a Spell ID or Item ID.
- Native Blizzard duration swipes, countdown numbers and stacks.
- Adjustable appearance and ordering, with optional animated glows in Added Order.
- Drag entries within each group to change Added Order.
Cooldown Tracker
Choose from learned class-specific cooldown presets or add your own spells and items by drag and drop, including supported pet abilities. Click the drop icon to enter a Spell ID or Item ID manually.
- Native Blizzard cooldown swipes and countdown numbers, including during combat, with a flash when a cooldown becomes ready.
- Enable Show Aura to show an active buff's duration with Blizzard's native yellow overlay before switching to its cooldown. Disabled by default.
- Adjustable icon opacity, size and Icon Padding.
- Added Order, Use Order, Shortest Remaining First or Longest Remaining First.
- Cooldown presets are disabled by default and appear in the default group. Drag entries within each group to change Added Order.
Trinket Manager
Your equipped trinkets appear in a movable icon group. Hover over the group to open a compact picker containing all your available trinkets for quick swapping. Equipped trinkets are marked with a green indicator. Left-click to equip in Slot 13; right-click to equip in Slot 14.
- Customize the picker's orientation, direction, opening side, icons per row or column, opacity, icon size and padding in Edit Mode.
- Enable Auto-queue the next available trinket to queue your next choice after use, following your saved priority. It equips once the active buffs finish and you are out of combat.
- Active trinket buffs show their duration with Blizzard's native yellow overlay before switching to the remaining cooldown. Both manual and automatic swaps wait for the active buffs to finish.
- Set Use Trinket Slot 13 and Use Trinket Slot 14 hotkeys in the main settings page's Keybindings section.
Loot Log
Keep a loot history for you and your group, saved separately for each character.
- Manage Loot Log on the Loot and Trade Log Settings page, then browse your characters' histories in Config and Logs. Enabled by default.
- Choose which item qualities to record; Poor-quality loot is excluded by default.
- Choose an automatic deletion timeframe for each item quality: 1, 3, 7, 14 or 30 days, or Never Delete. Expired entries are removed when you log into a character.
- Filter each window independently by item quality, expand daily groups, and delete a day's entries or a character's history with confirmation.
- Open Mini Loot Log to keep the latest 128 entries visible in a movable window with adjustable height, or assign a Toggle Mini Loot Log keybinding in Settings.
- Item-quality colors, full item tooltips, looter names, timestamps and supported Need/Greed markers.
Trade Log
Keep a record of completed trades with other players, saved separately for each character.
- Manage Trade Log on the Loot and Trade Log Settings page, then browse trades in Config and Logs. Enabled by default.
- See traded items, gold and enchantments, with the player's name and a timestamp. Two-sided trades share one entry showing what you gave for what you received. Enchant services include the affected item.
- Choose Ungrouped or Group by Day beside the character selector to browse trades as a list or in collapsible daily groups.
- Choose how long to keep trades. The default is 30 days, with expired entries removed when you log into a character.
- Item and supported enchant links show native tooltips. Delete a day's trades or a character's history with confirmation.
Nameplate Enhancements
- Display beneficial buffs on enemy NPC nameplates, providing a workaround for the currently non-working built-in setting.
- Display up to five temporary buffs on enemy players and their pets or minions, with a full duration of 30 seconds or less.
- Display Shared CC / Big Debuffs from any caster on enemy NPC and friendly or enemy player nameplates.
- Adjust icon scale, countdown numbers and horizontal position for buffs and crowd control.
- Preview your settings with persistent test auras on visible nameplates.
Tooltip Enhancements
- Display relevant auras above unit tooltips: debuffs on friendly units, buffs on enemy players, your or your pet's debuffs on NPCs. Adjust their icon size and padding.
- Show a player's talent spec and average item level in their tooltip by simply targeting them.
- Show who a unit is targeting, with optional class colors for players and reaction colors for NPCs.
- Add caster names and Spell / Item IDs to supported tooltips when available.
- Anchor world tooltips, including units, herbs and mining veins, to your cursor with adjustable offsets and optional anchoring during combat.
- Optionally hide the blue Submit an issue hint from tooltips.
Quality of Life
- Display estimated ranges on target and focus frames using LibRangeCheck-3.0, including Melee range for nearby living enemies.
- Scale your own buffs and debuffs on target and focus frames, and add countdown numbers.
- Highlight your name and your group members' names in chat.
- Turn web addresses into clickable links so you can easily copy their URLs.
- Show tooltips for supported links in chat, such as items and quests.
- Repair automatically when visiting a repair vendor.
- Automatically sell poor-quality junk when visiting a merchant.
- Reposition your bags with Unlock Backpack.
- Optionally report completed trades, including enchantments, with group members in group chat. The Announce Trade checkbox appears in the trade window for group members and remembers your preference.
Edit Mode
Move and customize your Reminders, Aura Tracker, Cooldown Tracker and Trinket Manager groups in the native-style Edit Mode window. Choose horizontal or vertical layouts and growth directions, adjust icon sizes and padding, and toggle captions separately for each group. Use Snap to Grid or Snap to Elements to align groups, and save account-wide or character-specific layouts.
Open Edit Mode from the main settings page, by middle-clicking the minimap button, or using the cogwheel beside a tracker's group selector in Config and Logs. Unlock the groups you want to edit; locked groups keep their live appearance. Close the main editor to save and lock.
Settings
savyUI uses Blizzard's native settings interface and search bar. Open settings with /savyui, by right-clicking the minimap button, or through Options > AddOns > savyUI. Aggro Overlay, Loot and Trade Log, Nameplate Enhancements, Tooltip Enhancements and Quality of Life each have their own settings page. Child-setting tooltips show their parent settings to clarify search results.
Left-click the minimap button to open Config and Logs, where you can enable modules, configure reminders and trinkets, add auras or cooldowns using drag and drop, and browse your loot and trade histories. The pane's position and last-opened tab are saved for each character. New custom reminders, auras and cooldowns appear at the top of their lists. Module activation and default tracked lists are character-specific. Additional groups and Edit Mode layouts can be shared across characters or limited to one character. Other enhancement settings apply account-wide.
A compact Onboarding Window introduces savyUI, helps you choose features and explains what's new. It appears once per character after installation and after each major release, and can be reopened from the main Settings page. Use its toggles to choose the features you want.
No external addons or libraries are required. Client restrictions can limit some tooltip details, range precision and missing-buff updates in combat. Cooldown ordering may use estimates while timing is protected; native swipes and numbers still use Blizzard's timers.
More features are planned. For bug reports or feature requests, please leave a comment.
