Description
RyoUI is a performance-first nameplate addon for World of Warcraft Retail, built around one idea: show only what helps you act. It strips away decoration and nonessential information, leaving a clean, pixel-perfect interface focused on immediate, actionable combat feedback. The whole nameplate is responsive and interactable, with smooth transitions even in dense combat.
Features
- Class-colored pill-style friendly-player nameplates, optionally limited to dungeons and raids
- Priority-based, customizable health colors for reaction, threat, quests, unit classification, and player classes
- Tank-aware threat coloring with off-tank handling
- Clear cast states for normal, important, channeled, uninterruptible, interrupted, and completed casts
- Optional cast-bar pulses for important casts and casts targeting you
- Interrupt tracking that dims the cast bar and marks when your interrupt will become available
- Important-only or all-aura filtering, pandemic indicators, and highlights for purgeable Magic buffs and removable Enrages
- Encounter power bars, class-aware execute markers, and proximity aggro warnings
- Adaptive opacity for targets, mouseover, combat, and unengaged units
- Optional enemy-player nameplates with class-colored health bars
- Account-wide profiles with per-character assignments and import/export
Health-bar colors resolve in order of importance: tap status, threat, quest relevance, unit classification, player class, then reaction.
Settings
Open the settings with /ryo, /ryoui, or through the AddOns section of the game settings. Most visual settings update immediately; protected World of Warcraft nameplate settings are applied when combat restrictions allow.
Thanks to Plater and Platynator for the inspiration and insight into solving some of the most complex nameplate problems.
