RP Session Recorder

Immediate heads-up because it's worth saying. I've been testing this addon without issues or bugs popping up for the past week. It's been easy and comfortable to use. However, I am not a programmer, and this addon was made with ChatGPT. I did so because its such a useful addon to have for roleplayers but there isn't a good, non-clunky alternative.

RP Session Recorder is an addon for recording, organizing and exporting your roleplay events and occurrences.

You can start to record a session by either opening the UI with the minimap button, typing /rsr to open the UI, or typing /rsr start [Session name].

Whilst a session is being recorded, RSR will record messages  except those sent in Guild/Community/General etc. You can enable or disable which channels are being recorded in the Settings.

The archive will keep track of session dates, locations, participants and the complete log from the moment the recording session begins, until it is ended. Sessions can be renamed, moved between folders, assigned icons or merged together easily.

TRP3 Support is optional but if available, RSR will log a character's trp identity at the time of their message being sent. This is to preserve the identity of possible old characters, or players NPCing for events. You can easily toggle between Player and TRP names with a button.

Archive and Log searches makes it easy to find keywords, dialogue, names etc in past sessions and to locate information you may be trying to recall.

If WoW disconnects you, or if you /reload, the addon will catch the interruption and upon your return you will be given the choice to continue recording the session.

Naturally, all logs and such are saved locally in your WoW SavedVariables so you're the only one with access to them.

There is an Export tab that allows you to quickly Ctrl+C the entire session so you can paste it into Notepad or wherever you choose. You can also do /rsr copylog to be immediately taken to the Export tab.

Commands

/rsr - Opens/Closes RP Session Recorder
/rsr start [Session name] - Begins a new recording
/rsr stop - Stops and saves the current active recording
/rsr copylog - Opens the Export tab of the current recording
/rsr settings - Opens Settings
