Royalties

Guild addon for members of Royal Team EU.

Royalties

A guild's internal raid toolkit, in the open.

Royalties is mainly built for Royal Team EU, a Dutch Mythic raiding guild. It is public because it is easy to install in any guild.

Everything in it exists because something was annoying on a raid night. There is no general-purpose ambition here — if a feature only made sense for us, it is still in.

One window, one command. Type /royal and everything is one click away.

What it does

Raid night

  • Marker bars — raid target icons and world markers, movable, resizable, and skinned to match the rest of the addon. Both hide themselves when you cannot actually place a marker, so they stay out of your way while questing.
  • World marker cycler — one key drops the next world marker wherever your mouse is pointing. Press it again for the next one. Works in combat, which is the whole point. Two more keys clear the last one and restart the sequence.
  • Raid Prep — a pre-pull checklist read from the game rather than from memory: enchants, gems, durability, empty gear slots, bag space, and whichever consumables the guild decided matter this tier. Pops up on a ready check.
  • Addon Check — one button before a pull tells you who in the group is missing a required addon. Replaces asking in Discord and getting silence.
  • Raid Invite — paste a WoWAudit invite list and it invites everyone in it, on a timer so the account does not get throttled.
  • Don't Release — a large, unmissable warning when you die in an instance, for the reflex that costs a raid two minutes.

Mythic+

  • Group Starter — advertise your key to the guild, watch the group fill, and invite automatically. Guildmates running Royalties get a Join button; everyone else gets a normal guild chat announcement they can whisper.
  • Guild Keys — ask who is carrying what, see every answer in one list with the level and the owner's score, and ask somebody to run theirs. If they accept, it posts their key and pulls you in.
  • Teleports — every dungeon teleport for the current season, in one panel.

Cooldown Manager sounds

  • Assign a sound to any alert in Blizzard's built-in Cooldown Manager, including a set of spoken voice cues shipped with the addon.
  • Registered through LibSharedMedia, so the cues also show up in WeakAuras and anything else that reads it.
  • Saved per character, because cooldown layouts are.

Between pulls

  • Royal Points — a fictional guild currency that buys nothing, ranked from Peasant to The King. Earned for raid kills, Mythic+ runs, and — mostly — for helping guildmates. Resets each Mythic+ season. The ladder shows the guild in class colours, and whoever is leading wears a crown.
  • Royal Roll — deathroll and high-low games with a lobby, a proper turn order, and a scoreboard, so nobody has to referee /roll in chat.
  • Raid Bingo — a card of raid-night clichés, played across the guild.

Commands

  • /royal — the hub, with everything one click away
  • /royal key — Mythic+ group starter · /royal key find — guild keys
  • /royal court — Royal Points: your rank and the guild ladder
  • /royal prep — raid readiness checklist
  • /royal roll · /royal bingo — Royal Roll and Raid Bingo
  • /royal addons — check required addons, yours and the group's
  • /royal markers · /royal sounds · /royal profile · /royal settings
  • /royal help — all of the above, in game

There are also key bindings for the hub, the settings window and the world marker cycler, under Royalties in the Key Bindings panel.

Worth knowing before you install

  • Retail only. Interface 120100 (patch 12.1). No Classic build.
  • The guild features need guildmates running it too. Addon Check, Guild Keys, Royal Points, Royal Roll and Raid Bingo all talk to other Royalties clients. On your own, the marker bars, Raid Prep, Don't Release and the Cooldown Manager sounds still work fine.
  • Nothing personal leaves your client. The addon sends what you are missing, what key you are carrying, and your score — no real names or profile fields unless you turn sharing on yourself.
  • Nothing is on by default that puts something on your screen. Both marker bars start hidden until you are somewhere you can actually place a marker.

Credits

The marker bars are derived from wMarker by Waky, and gratefully so.

Bundled: LibStub, CallbackHandler-1.0, LibSharedMedia-3.0.
