Unless Blizzard introduces major changes at the Midnight launch, this version should now be stable enough to use.

It has been a hectic few weeks getting to this point. The addon has grown far beyond what one person should realistically maintain alone, but I’m doing my best to keep it stable and functional.

There will be no new features added for a while.
The new expansion is here, and it’s time to actually enjoy the game.

For the next few weeks, any releases will focus on bug fixes only.

 

07.2.0 Update

  • Classbar visuals corrected for Monk, Demon Hunter, and Death Knight.

  • A warning message now appears if you attempt to open Combat Grid while in combat.

Castbars

  • Castbars are working again.

  • rgrid-attached castbars can no longer force-show incorrectly.

  • Added an OnShow visibility guard to prevent bars appearing when not casting or channeling.

  • Event refresh handling cleaned up (ENTERING_WORLD / combat state).

  • Evoker Empowered castbar restored. Functional, but visuals will be improved later.


Classbars / Pips

  • Pip/classbar system fixed across all classes.

  • Visibility logic corrected.

Elemental Shaman

  • Mana remains in the power bar.

  • Maelstrom is handled correctly in the pip area.

  • Added Demon Hunter Devourer resource bar.

  • Monk resource handling corrected.

  • Feral Druid classbar is fully functional, but visuals will be improved later.

Some specs may still have holder display inconsistencies.
If it does not hide correctly:

  • Try /reload.

  • If that does not work, disable it per class/spec in settings.


Player Frame

  • HP and Power text rendering fixed.

  • Text no longer disappears due to spec/power initialization timing.

  • Numeric-only text generation implemented to avoid secret-value comparison issues.

  • Font changes now apply correctly again.

  • Elemental Shaman player frame logic corrected.


Combat Grid (rgrid)

  • Per-character profiles added.

  • Per-spec profiles added.

  • Automatic role-based profile loading (Healer / Tank / DPS).

  • Manual override profile: Master.

  • Profile switching integrated directly into Combat Grid.

  • Stability improvements to layout and plugin attachment handling.

  • Stable database reference handling (no table swaps after initialization).


Incoming Player Casts (PIC)

  • SavedVariables initialization fixed (boot timing corrected).

  • Preview mode now works reliably.

  • GridCore attachment stabilized.


Resource & Classbar Settings

  • Per-character resource/classbar enable handling corrected.

  • Classbar visibility now properly respects character-level configuration.


Stability & 12.0 / Midnight Safety

  • Removed unsafe comparisons against secret values.

  • Added deferred refresh where spec/power data loads late.

  • Reduced risky frame state transitions.

  • Cleaned up event registrations in multiple modules.


Known Issues

  • Opening Combat Grid while in combat (either by clicking the top panel button or using /rgrid) will cause Combat Grid to break due to combat lockdown restrictions.

    • If this happens, you will need to /reload after combat.

  • Feral Druid classbar visuals will be refined later.

  • Some holder layouts need minor refinement on specific specs.

  • Empowered castbar visuals are functional but not final.
