# RecruitRelay: Guild Recruitment

RecruitRelay is a lightweight World of Warcraft Retail addon for creating,
scheduling, and safely posting guild recruitment announcements.

Build your recruitment message once, keep shared guild information in one
profile, and let RecruitRelay generate schedules, recruitment needs, and a
clickable Guild Finder application link.

## Main features

## Guild profile and recruitment builder

Save reusable guild information such as:

- raid time and progress;
- recruitment requirements;
- main and additional contacts;
- Discord, website, and voice chat;
- guild focus and short description;
- priority recruitment notes.

The visual recruitment builder lets you select:

- raid days and times;
- required roles;
- classes and individual specializations;
- guild activities.

Classes use their official class colors. Specialization names are taken
directly from the game client, so they automatically match the language of
your WoW installation.

Recruitment tokens use compact names where appropriate, including MDPS, RDPS,
Heal, DK, DH and their Russian equivalents such as МДД, РДД, Хил, ДК and ДХ.

## Message tokens

Use the built-in token palette to insert dynamic information at the current
cursor position. The palette stays open while you insert several tokens, and
every token has a localized explanation on hover.

- `$gname` — current guild name
- `$glink` — clickable Guild Finder application link
- `$player` — current character name
- `$time` — current local time
- `$raidtime` — saved raid-time text or generated schedule
- `$schedule` — selected raid days and start/end time
- `$days` — selected raid days
- `$progress` — guild progress
- `$requirements` — recruitment requirements
- `$contact` — main recruitment contact
- `$backupcontacts` — additional contacts
- `$contacts` — main and additional contacts combined
- `$discord`, `$website`, `$voice` — community and communication details
- `$focus`, `$activities` — guild focus and selected activities
- `$roles` — selected recruitment roles
- `$classes` — selected classes and specializations
- `$needs` — selected roles, classes, and specializations combined
- `$priority` — priority recruitment note
- `$about` — short guild description

## Optional message fragments

Wrap an optional fragment in double square brackets. RecruitRelay removes the
whole fragment when one of its tokens has no value:

This keeps announcements clean without maintaining several message templates.

## Clickable Guild Finder links

When your guild has an active Guild Finder recruitment listing, `$glink`
becomes a clickable in-game application link. Players can open the listing and
submit an application directly.

If the listing is unavailable, RecruitRelay safely uses the guild name instead.

## Scheduled announcements and MessageQueue

World of Warcraft protects public chat messages and requires a hardware event
before an addon can send them.

When the optional
[MessageQueue](https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/messagequeue) addon is
installed, RecruitRelay automatically queues each due announcement. The
message is sent during your next normal mouse, keyboard, or gamepad input.

Without MessageQueue, RecruitRelay displays its own Send button when an
announcement is ready. RecruitRelay never simulates player input or bypasses
Blizzard's protected-action restrictions.

## Commands

- `/rr` or `/recruitrelay` — open RecruitRelay
- `/rr send` — prepare the current announcement
- `/rr reset` — reset the reminder timer
- `/rr status` — show the current announcement status
