## RealUI
RealUI is a complete interface replacement for World of Warcraft. It aims to be
minimal and readable — a dark, compact layout that keeps the screen clear while
still showing the information you need.
It installs as a set of addons and configures itself on first login. A short setup
flow asks a few questions (layout, resolution, scaling) and applies sensible
defaults, so there is no long configuration session before you can play.
As of 4.0.0 the package contains only RealUI's own addons. Nothing third-party is
bundled any more, aside from the usual embedded libraries (Ace3, oUF,
LibActionButton, LibSharedMedia) that any addon ships with.
### What's included
* **HuD** — player, target, focus and boss frames, cast bars, and a class resource
display, all arranged around the centre of the screen. Cast bars and the class
resource can be pinned to a unit frame or left on screen.
* **Party and raid frames** — oUF-based group frames covering 5-man through 40-player
raids, with incoming heals, absorbs, dispellable debuffs, your own HoTs, and range
fading. Clique is supported.
* **Action bars** — six bars laid out from your HuD settings, plus stance and pet bars,
a hover keybinding mode, and an optional side-button bar for Naga-style mice.
* **Nameplates** — threat and reaction coloring, cast bars with interrupt and empower
states, a filtered aura row, and name-only plates for friendly units.
* **Infobar** — a slim bar for durability, currency, guild and friends, specialization,
clock, and progress, with tooltips and click actions on each block.
* **Skins** — Aurora is embedded, so the Blizzard frames match the rest of the UI.
* **Inventory** — bag and bank replacement with automatic item categories.
* **Objective tracker, tooltips, combat text, cooldown counts, and aura presets**
built on Blizzard's own frames where possible.
* **Smaller conveniences** — movable Blizzard frames, minimap tweaks, instant loot,
auto-repair, world markers, alert frame positioning, and an addon control panel.
### Layouts
RealUI keeps two layouts — DPS/Tank and Healing — and switches between them with your
specialization. Most positions and sizes are stored per layout, so each spec can have
its own arrangement.
### Optional addons
RealUI no longer bundles third-party addons, but it still recognises several and
configures them for you if you install them yourself:
* **Bartender4** — RealUI's own bars stand down and RealUI drives Bartender4 instead.
* **Grid2** — replaces the built-in raid frames, with the RealUI profile applied.
* **Platynator** — replaces the built-in nameplates, with the RealUI profile applied.
* **Masque** — optional button skinning; the "RealUI" skin is always registered.
* **BadBoy** — chat spam filtering. RealUI does not filter chat on its own.
### Getting started
* `/realui` — configuration
* `/realui setup` — rerun the setup flow
* `/realui display` — scale and font size presets for your resolution
* `/rab` — action bar settings, `/rab bind` for hover keybinding
* `/rnp` — nameplate settings
* `/configmode` — drag handles for HuD elements
### Notes
* Current target is Midnight-era WoW (12.1.x).
* Settings from older versions are migrated automatically.
* Upgrading from 3.x: the previously bundled addons are still in your AddOns folder.
RealUI treats them as user-installed and keeps driving them. To use the new built-in
bars, raid frames, or nameplates instead, remove or disable those folders and reload.
