Your soundtrack for Azeroth

RatRadio brings local music, custom playlists, karaoke lyrics, and group listening parties into World of Warcraft Retail. Open it with /rr and make yourself at home.

Make it yours

• Full and mini players: choose tracks, adjust volume, skip, stop, or restart. Use shuffle and repeat for local playlists.
• Custom playlists: create and organize your own collections, reuse songs from your library, and share playlist codes in-game.
• Karaoke lyrics: watch words fill as they are sung, with the next line displayed underneath. Dock lyrics to the player or move them independently; customize size, colors, opacity, and an optional background box.
• Six themes: Dalaran, Legion, Icecrown, Orgrimmar, Stormwind, and Silvermoon.

The current package includes 23 (degenerate nightcore) OGG tracks. Karaoke lyrics is available for supported songs; some bundled tracks and any custom additions have audio only.

Listen together

The group leader clicks Host Party, and members receive a Join / Decline invitation. Once joined, the host chooses, skips, or restarts songs for the listening party. Late joiners enter at the next complete song.

Playlist voting is optional. Open a voting round to let listeners load a saved playlist or arrange a sequence from their local library. Everyone can see proposals as they are edited. Lock in your choices, then vote: the sequence with the most votes wins, with a random choice for ties. The result becomes the temporary Current Listening Party playlist.

Everyone needs RatRadio and the matching audio files registered locally. Playlist sharing sends song information, not audio files; missing tracks remain silent while the shared schedule continues.

Get started

1. Install RatRadio, then open the player with /rr or /ratradio.
2. Choose a playlist and click a song or Play. Use the minus button for the mini player.
3. Open Lyrics to customize the overlay. Closing the player does not stop the music or enabled lyrics.

To add your own music, place an .ogg or .mp3 file in Interface/AddOns/RatRadio/Music, restart WoW completely, and use Library > Register + add. Enter its title, filename, and duration in seconds. Timed lyric data must be prepared separately; RatRadio does not generate lyrics from audio in-game.

Mythic+ and playback

An active listening party starts its playlist from the first song after the ten-second key countdown. Solo key autoplay is a separate setting and is off by default.

Set up listening parties before entering content that restricts addon messages. New invitations, song changes, sharing, and voting require messaging to be available; an existing party schedule can continue locally.

Playback offers Stop and Restart, without pause or seeking. Loading screens or audio interruptions may restart the current song locally, so listeners can temporarily differ until a later shared song boundary.

Quick commands

• /rr or /ratradio — open or close the player.
• /rr lyrics — toggle lyrics.
• /rr lyrics on or /rr lyrics off — set lyric visibility.
• /rr lyrics offset 0.5 — adjust lyric timing in seconds, from -10 to 10.
