Description
RankWatch scans your action bars and flags any spell that's stuck on a lower rank than the highest one you've actually learned — the classic problem where you drag a spell onto your bar, later learn a new rank, and the bar quietly keeps casting the old one.
Features
- Automatically rescans on login, when you learn a new spell rank, and when your action bars change (e.g. a loadout/spec swap)
- Opens a clean list of every outdated spell it finds, showing the slot, current rank, and highest known rank
- One-click Fix per spell, or Fix All to update everything at once
- Rescan button to check again on demand
/rwto open/close the window manually,/rw autopopupto toggle whether it opens automatically when it finds something (off = a quiet chat message instead)
Good to know
- This only catches spells dragged directly onto the action bar. A spell cast from inside a macro (e.g.
/cast Healing Touch(Rank 6)) won't be detected, since the macro's own tooltip is shown instead of the spell's. - If your spellbook's "Show All Spell Ranks" option is unchecked, spells you drag to the bar already auto-track your highest learned rank, so there's nothing to fix in that case — RankWatch is most useful if you have that option checked, or for slots set up before you knew about it.
