RandomNotes

# RandomNotes

**An anonymous notes board for your guild, in Mists of Pandaria Classic.**

Praise the healer who carried last night's raid, or roast the tank who pulled the whole room. Your guildmates read the note, and they don't see who wrote it.

## Features

- **Anonymous notes** of up to 1000 characters, posted to your guild's board.
- **Likes**, with the most-liked note of all time shown at the top.
- **Catch-up sync**: notes you missed while offline arrive when you log in.
- **Unread badge** on the minimap button.
- **Resizable window.**
- **No website or server**: everything runs through in-game addon messages.

## How it works

Notes are relayed by **postmen**, characters your guild picks. Your note goes to an online postman, who posts it to the guild. If no postman is online, it waits and is sent automatically when one logs in.

## Setup (guild leader / officers)

Type `/rn config`, enter the postmen's character names separated by commas, and click **Save**. The list is stored in your Guild Info text, so your rank needs permission to edit it. Dedicated alts make good postmen.

## Commands

| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
| `/rn` | Open or close the board (or click the minimap button) |
| `/rn config` | Set the postmen |
| `/rn minimap` | Hide or show the minimap button |
| `/rn sync` | Ask a postman for missing notes now |

## Good to know

- Every guildmate who wants to read or write notes needs the addon.
- Notes are only posted and synced while a postman is online.
- Likes are not anonymous.
- Notes can't be edited once posted.
