RaidRoster Journal

RaidRoster Journal is an in-game raid boss journal for The Venomous Abyss. Pick a boss and a difficulty, then read the ability, the short action, and a 2D diagram of the mechanic.

What you read

Eight encounters, in instance order:

• The Twin Fangs
• The Coiled Altar
• Ula'tek

Normal, Heroic, and Mythic each have their own text. Mythic stays unavailable until a Mythic strategy is published for that boss. Abilities are grouped by phase. A badge marks Heroic changes and Mythic-only abilities.

The detail panel shows the spell, who it hits (everyone, tanks, healers, or DPS), the strategy, and a What to do card with the short action.

The diagram

Each ability has an animated 2D room map: cones, circles, lines, orbs, waves, knockbacks, adds, and soaks, drawn to yard scale. Pause, replay, or scrub the loop. Zoom and pan the map, or open it enlarged over the screen. A legend marks boss, tank, healer, raid, danger, and safe spots.

During the pull

Predict follows the encounter. On The Venomous Abyss, built-in timers select the next ability a few seconds early. DBM and BigWigs take over when they are loaded. Casts and debuffs on you jump to the ability in progress. Click any ability to turn Predict off.

Current phase only greys out, or hides, abilities from other phases. Out of combat you can set the phase by clicking its header.

The window

Portrait stacks the ability list, the diagram, and What to do. Landscape puts them in columns. The title bar can fold down to raid, boss, difficulty, and the main buttons. Settings cover scale, background, lock, minimap button, theme, and font sizes for each section.

A short tour walks every control the first time you open the window. Start it again with T on the title bar, or /journal tour.
