Raid Night Trivia 4.1
Heads up: the 4.1 zip on your Desktop doesn’t include the last two tweaks, the footer layout and the quicker hide. Tell me and I’ll rebuild it so it matches this changelog.
New
- Geography mode. 120 “Where is…?” map questions across every expansion. Easy is a famous city or town, Medium is a dungeon or raid, and Hard is a smaller town or outpost.
- A map pops up in the middle of the screen with the question in big letters. Click where you think it is, then press Lock In.
- Up to 30 points for accuracy, plus 10 bonus points for the closest answer, with the fastest winning a tie.
- The map and player board clear about 5 seconds after the answer is shown.
- It uses OpenMap’s cleaned-up art when OpenMap is installed.
/quiz mappreviews it on your own, and/quiz geoshows how many places your client found.
- Quiz master can play too. In a group, the host also sees the banner, vote panel and map, and can answer and vote. Turn it off with “Quiz master also plays” in Options.
- Votes show on the player board. During a vote, each name takes its difficulty’s colour: green for Easy, gold for Medium, red for Hard.
- Fastest correct answer announced to group chat after each question, with an option to switch it off.
- Halloween mode: 100+ spooky questions from every expansion.
- Golden Q button for the host. Left-click asks a random question, Ctrl+left-click asks a map question, Shift+left-click posts the scores, right-click opens the host panel.
- Announce Winner button with an editable message, and a Test mode with a 20-player bot raid.
- 701 trivia questions across every expansion, including 45 new ones.
Improved
- The map panel layout is cleaner: a bigger question and difficulty tag, a footer strip, a clear timer bar with the seconds left, and a bigger Lock In button.
- The map reuses its picture pieces and warms up after login, so questions open quickly and without stutter.
- Group-name lookups are faster, and the Q button no longer jumps around on group changes.
- The README and the in-game addon description are rewritten to match.
Fixed
- Delve companions and other NPC followers no longer count as a group, so questions show on your screen in delves.
- Solo and test mode work instantly and no longer depend on whispering yourself.
- Players with first and last names are recognised correctly on WoW Forever.
- The player board on other players’ screens now clears after a map question instead of staying up.
Notes
- Works on Midnight (retail) and WoW Forever.
- Everyone playing needs the same version, because the map rounds and the quiz master change aren’t understood by older versions.
