Radar Métiers — Find customers for your professions

Radar Métiers scans Trade and General chat for people looking for crafters, alerts you instantly, and lets you answer with one click — with the right character, every time.

⚠️ Warning: this addon was designed and built by a French player, on the French game client, for French-speaking realms. The interface and default keywords are in French. It has not been tested on other game languages — it should mostly work (keywords are fully customizable), but expect possible bugs, especially with channel detection. Bug reports are welcome!

How it works

While you play, the addon watches Trade (/2) and General (/1) chat. When someone asks for a craft ("LF blacksmith", "need an enchanter"...), you get a popup with a sound alert showing the message, the detected profession, and ready-to-send replies.

Features

• Smart detection — profession-specific keywords (fully customizable) plus generic ones ("craft", "artisan"...), with an anti-spam filter so the same request doesn't trigger twice.
• One-click replies — send a customizable whisper template with variables like {name}, {char}, {prof}, or your actual clickable profession link {proflink}. Separate "not available" reply included.
• Multi-character aware — the addon learns which of your characters has which profession and always offers the right one. Force a specific character per profession if you have several.
• Right-click menu — right-click any player name to whisper your reply or note a craft order for them (with their class).
• Order tracking — keep a list of pending craft orders, with login and periodic reminders so you never forget a customer.
• Auto advertising — post your ad in Trade chat manually or on a timer (5–30 min).
• Everything configurable — dark-themed options window (/rd): messages, keywords, watched channels, alert sound, excluded characters, minimap button.

Commands

/rd (or /radar) opens the options. /rd test <text> simulates a chat message to test your setup, /rd debug explains why each message triggers (or not), /rd scan re-detects your professions, /rd pub posts your ad now, /rd aide lists everything.

Getting started

Install, log each of your crafting characters once so their professions are detected, then check /rd → set your reply message and you're done. Test with /rd test need a blacksmith.
