Description
Put raid markers on enemies fast, without fighting your mouse.
Markers exist to split interrupt duty. "Triangle is yours, diamond is mine." That
only works if the right mobs get the right markers before the pull - and in Mythic+
a pack is usually stacked on top of itself, which makes clicking the caster you
actually meant surprisingly hard.
QuickMarker gives you two ways to do it.
== 1. Mouseover cycling ==
Hover an enemy, press one key. Each press applies the next marker in your order.
- Default order is Triangle, Diamond, Circle - the three usually handed out for
interrupts. Square is left alone because it commonly marks the tank.
- Choose which markers to cycle through, and in what order, up to 8 steps.
- Works in combat.
- The cycle restarts when combat ends, or after a configurable idle time, so the
next pack starts from the first marker again.
- Pressing the key with nothing under the cursor does not advance the cycle, so
a missed click never shifts everything by one.
- Bind a separate reset key if you want to restart the cycle mid-fight.
== 2. MDT route marking (optional) ==
Decide once which marker each mob type gets - "Arcane Magister is always Triangle" -
and a single key marks every one of them standing in front of you.
Because it targets enemies by name, it does not care that the pack is stacked.
No aiming.
Setup:
1. In Mythic Dungeon Tools, assign markers to the mobs you want interrupted.
You do not need to mark the whole map. One mob type, one marker, no duplicates.
Marking one Arcane Magister with Triangle covers every Arcane Magister in the
dungeon.
2. Bind a key to "Mark this pull (MDT route)".
3. Type /qmp, press "Import from MDT", check the list, press "Apply".
4. Walk up to a pack and press the key.
The mapping window lets you change or remove any marker without going back to MDT,
and shows which route it came from. Each dungeon keeps its own mapping, and the
right one loads automatically when you zone in.
QuickMarker reads nameplates to work out which mobs are actually in front of you
and builds the macro from those, so one press is enough. If nameplates are off it
falls back to the full list.
Mythic Dungeon Tools is optional. Without it this section is simply unavailable
and everything else works normally.

== Known limits, and why ==
Assigning a raid marker became a protected action in patch 12.0.0. An addon can
only mark through a secure action button, which requires a real key press. Some
things are therefore impossible, not merely unimplemented:
- No automatic marking. The addon cannot spot a caster and mark it for you.
A human has to press the key. This is the same change that stopped WeakAuras
from doing it.
- It cannot see which markers are already in use, so the cycle always runs in
order rather than skipping taken ones.
And two limits that come from how targeting by name works:
- If a pack contains several mobs with the same name, only the closest one gets
marked. Use the mouseover key for the rest.
- Mobs out of targeting range are skipped. Walk up to the pack first.
Pressing the MDT key changes your current target.
== Localisation ==
English and Korean. Marker names always follow your client's language.
