QuickMark (Raid Target Icons)

QuickMark auto-assigns raid icons (skull ➜ star) with a hover: target yourself, mouse-over any enemy to mark in order; hold Shift while hovering to clear. No setup, minimal footprint, works solo or in raids—fast, reliable raid-target marking.

Light-weight helper that lets you assign and clear raid icons with nothing but your mouse.
Perfect for Garr adds, trash packs, or any fight where you need to slam marks fast.

🌟 Features

Action What happens
Target yourself ➜ mouse-over an enemy Marks it with the first free icon in priority order (skull → cross → square → … star).
Hold SHIFT ➜ mouse-over a marked enemy Removes its icon.
Icon reuse Freed (or dead) icons instantly return to the pool, so the order is always tight and predictable.
Zero configuration No slash commands, no GUI. Just install and play.
Works solo or in raids You only need assist/lead if you’re in a group, as per Blizzard rules.

🚀 How to Use

  1. Install in _classic_/Interface/AddOns/QuickMark/.
  2. /reload or relog.
  3. In-game: target yourself, hover enemies to mark, hold SHIFT while hovering to clear.

That’s it!

💡 Tips

  • If you want to re-start the icon sequence, simply clear all existing icons with shift-hover or drag them off in the default UI.
  • Works great with nameplates on (V) so you can mark packs without tab-targeting.

📜 Technical

  • Classic Era / SoD Interface 11502 (update the TOC number if Blizzard patches).
  • Pure Lua; no libraries.
  • Uses UPDATE_MOUSEOVER_UNIT, PLAYER_TARGET_CHANGED, and combat-log UNIT_DIED to manage icons.
