QuickChatForever

QuickChatForever is a lightweight, controller-friendly radial quick-chat addon for World of Warcraft Forever, designed to make communicating with other players easier without needing to put down your controller and reach for a keyboard.

The addon provides an eight-direction radial menu that can be opened by holding the controller's Select / Share / View button. Using the right analogue stick, players can aim at different menu options, select messages, and navigate additional submenus using the controller's face buttons.

Whether you're looking for a dungeon group, recruiting players, requesting a buff, or simply communicating with your party, QuickChatForever aims to make everyday social interactions quicker and more convenient.

Quick access to six predefined trading messages:

• WTB Mage Water/Food

• WTB Herbs/Ore

Simply select the message you want to send and the addon will post it through Say chat.

Useful for communicating during dungeon runs, group activities and general gameplay.

⚙️ Lightweight Design

QuickChatForever is designed to be simple and efficient.

• Single Lua implementation.
• Minimal addon structure.
• No external libraries or dependencies.
• Native World of Warcraft UI and controller functionality.
• Static message presets for predictable behaviour.
• Simple /qc slash command to open or close the radial menu for keyboard and mouse testing.

Development Status – Alpha

QuickChatForever is currently in Alpha.

This is an early version of the addon, providing the initial radial menu, controller navigation and predefined chat message functionality.

Development is taking place ahead of the release of WoW Forever, meaning full compatibility and functionality have not yet been verified against the live game client.

Once WoW Forever is released, the addon will undergo further testing to validate:

• Controller button detection and activation.
• Right analogue stick navigation.
• Radial menu selection and submenu behaviour.
• Chat message delivery.
• Compatibility with the final WoW Forever client and its API.

Features and functionality may change as testing and development continue.
