WordHunterWoW-Dictionary-ES-1.1.0-Retail.zip
What's new
Every word in this pack started as machine translation. This release replaces a large part of that with entries reviewed one at a time, in a real quest sentence.
esES 30,905 of 58,211 words (53.1%). esMX 30,905 of 56,081 (55.1%).
The share of the word list understates it. Words are reviewed most-frequent first, and vocabulary follows a steep curve — a small number of words carries most of the text. 97.5% of all word occurrences in quest text are now a reviewed entry, up from 93.5%. Open a quest at random and better than nine words in ten have been read in context by something that also wrote a note on what the word is doing there.
What the review catches, beyond plain mistranslation: accents that change the word (salvó "saved" had been glossed "except"), the subjunctive read as an indicative, preterites flattened to the present, false friends (despacho is an office, not a dispatch), and invented lore — cerrotajo had been glossed "Ironforge" and is Razor Hill.
Troll, pirate and goblin speech write s as h. Machine translation returns noise for all of it: eh´píritu came back as "hey spirit", fuerzah as "strengthh". Those now read as what they are.
Known issue: about 2.5% of entries capitalise a translation whose Spanish word is lowercase — acabo glossed "Just" rather than "just". Cosmetic, and a fix is planned.
