# QuestTally — Changelog

*Track every daily in the game, from Vanilla through Midnight — first-party data, live status, zero website-tabbing.*

---

## 0.4.6 — Objectives, nailed down
- **Objectives load on the first open** of a quest — no more clicking away and back to make them appear.
- **No placeholder flash.** A neutral "Loading objectives…" shows while they stream in, instead of briefly flashing the "pick it up in-game" note.

## 0.4.5 — Drill-down & polish
- **Third-level sub-zone nesting** — quests group by *expansion → zone → sub-zone* (e.g. *Molten Front* inside *Mount Hyjal*), indented so they read as belonging there.
- **Sections start collapsed** on the All/Browse tabs, so the list opens compact; one-click Expand/Collapse-all still works.
- **Description coverage to 99.7%** (2,115 / 2,122 tracked quests) and more giver coordinates for TomTom waypoints.

## 0.4.4 — Geography, done right
- **Browse now sorts by real geography**, not the expansion tag — a Dragonflight race in Hellfire Peninsula correctly lands under *Outland*, etc.
- **The "Other / Unknown" bucket is gone** — every daily sorts to a real continent and zone.
- **66 missing dailies promoted** into the catalog; Burning Crusade dailies gained giver coordinates; duplicate quest IDs fixed.

## 0.4.3 — Travel & navigation
- **TomTom integration** — Shift+Left-click drops a waypoint (with the arrow) at a quest's giver.
- **Colored location breadcrumbs** in the sub-bar and detail panel; unified Browse naming so zones never double-list.
- Removed the "Azeroth" pseudo-continent and consolidated the whole Firelands Invasion to *Mount Hyjal*.

## 0.4.2 — Filters & focus
- **Filters menu** — toggle Holiday/Seasonal, Profession, Battle Pet, and Skyriding content independently of Settings.
- **Expand / Collapse all** toggle; fully themed dark title-bar buttons and Browse dropdowns.
- Cleaned up phantom "completed" quests (one-time quests the game flags forever).

## 0.4.1 — Pin it
- **Pinned panel** — middle-click any quest to pin it to a companion pane docked to the window.
- **QuestTally logo** in the title bar; right-click waypoints now work for the whole catalog; skyriding races tag correctly.

## 0.4.0 — Audited & complete
- Added a fourth first-party source — **Blizzard's official Game Data API** — to **audit, correct, and complete** the catalog: 452 zones fixed, ~400 genuinely-missing dailies filled in, ~2,000 descriptions baked.
- **Group by zone, tag by kind** — Prof / Pet / PvP / Incursion / Calling / Ally / Race / Holiday / Garrison badges.
- World quests hidden by default (Blizzard tracks those on the map already).

## 0.3.0 — Modern dark theme
- A full visual overhaul: dark, gradient-and-bevel panel with custom scrollbars and close buttons, expansion-tinted sections, status pills, and an accent stripe tying the detail panel to its section.

## 0.2.1 — First-party rebuild
- Dropped the third-party Questie dependency entirely. Catalog rebuilt from **first-party sources**: warcraft.wiki dailies (~1,460, with IDs/zones/givers/coords), Blizzard's client DB2 for ~3,600 world quests, and the live in-game harvester.
- Rotation-aware world quests (inactive ones read *Not Active*, not falsely *Available*).

## 0.2.0 — Live data harvesting
- Built the developer toolchain that bakes quest rewards, objectives, and descriptions straight from the live client — no third-party datasets.
- Detail panel shows money, XP, items, currencies, and objectives even for dailies you haven't picked up.

## 0.1.1 — Givers & waypoints
- Baked-in giver names and map coordinates so dailies are ready out of the box; right-click to drop a travel waypoint. Renamed from *DailyGrind* to **QuestTally**; primary command is now **/qt**.

## 0.1.0 — First release
- The original daily-quest tracker: a movable window with Current Zone / Browse / All views, live status color-coding, the daily-reset timer, and optional TitanPanel support.
