QuestItemLeftovers

QuestItemLeftovers helps you clean out your bags by telling you exactly what each quest item is good for. Hover any item and its tooltip is annotated with a verdict, or run a full bag scan for a chat summary.

What it checks

It cross-references three sources to reach a decision for every quest item:

• QuestieDB — static quest/item relationships (which quests use which items).
• Blizzard's live quest log — what your active quests actually require right now.
• Your bags — which quest items you are actually carrying.

The verdicts

• KEEP — needed by an active quest (shows how many you have vs. need).
• EXCESS AVAILABLE — you hold more than any active quest requires, and how many can be discarded.
• KEEP FOR NOW — a source item for an active quest.
• POSSIBLE QUEST USE — linked to an unfinished quest.
• QUEST USE UNKNOWN — a quest item with no known mapping; keep it to be safe.
• LIKELY SAFE TO DELETE — no unfinished quest needs it.

Commands

• /qil scan — scan your bags and print a summary to chat.
• /qil refresh — rebuild the QuestieDB index and quest cache.

Requirements

• QuestieDB (https://github.com/Questie/) (required). You don't have to use Questie, QuestieDB must be installed.

Localization

English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Russian, Korean, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. English is the fallback.
