Description

Quest History started as a personal project. I wanted to complete every quest in Azeroth and keep a record of that journey — something I could look back on later.

More than that, I wanted to turn it into a journal written from my character’s point of view — what she did, what happened to her, and how she felt along the way.

At first, I built it just for myself to help with roleplay notes. Later I realized other players might find it useful too, especially those who care about lore, storytelling, or full completion. So I decided to share it.

What it’s for

It helps you keep a clear record of your character’s journey. You can use it as a base for your own role play journal, writing the story or something else.

What it does

  • Tracks quests in order
Every completed quest is saved with a timestamp, in the order it happened.
  • Stores basic info
Quest ID, title, quest giver, location, texts and date are recorded automatically.
  • Export your data
You can export everything as JSON and use it outside the game.
  • Simple UI
The addon mostly stays out of the way. It can show chat notifications and a small popup, both of which can be turned off. The popup is used to remind you to reload the UI so the data is saved to disk. It's necessary to do so time to time because if your game crashes then WoW might not save database to disk. Unfartunatelly it's WoW limitations...
