QuestGuru is back.

QuestGuru is a revived and extensively modernized questing companion for World of Warcraft Classic Era and The Burning Crusade Classic, built to make leveling, exploration, and quest completion easier without filling your screen with unnecessary clutter.

This project started with a simple goal: bring a great abandoned addon back to life.

There are many fantastic World of Warcraft addons that disappeared over the years as their original developers moved on. We believe some of those projects are still worth preserving. QuestGuru is one of them.

We've repaired, modernized, expanded, and tested QuestGuru for today's Classic clients while keeping the spirit of the original addon alive.

QuestGuru automatically uses the appropriate functionality for the supported Classic client.

🧭 Quest Navigation Arrow

One of the major features of the revived QuestGuru is its fully functional quest navigation arrow.

The arrow provides live guidance toward your selected quest objective or destination.

It includes:

• Live directional guidance
• Distance to destination
• Automatic direction updates while moving
• Quest objective navigation
• Quest turn-in navigation
• Manual quest selection
• Compact design that doesn't dominate your screen

Choosing Which Quest the Arrow Tracks

QuestGuru does not force you to follow only the newest quest.

Simply right-click a quest in the QuestGuru Tracker to make that quest the active navigation target.

The selected quest is marked with:

The arrow will then guide you toward that quest's current objective or destination.

Accepting another quest will not replace your manually selected navigation target.

Shift + Right-click a quest to open its location on the map.

You can also right-click the navigation arrow to clear your manually selected quest.

🗺️ World Map & Minimap Quest Guidance

QuestGuru provides integrated quest information directly on both your World Map and Minimap.

Quest locations can include:

• Quest objectives
• Required enemies
• Required items
• Objective areas
• Quest turn-in locations
• Available navigation destinations

Minimap pins remain synchronized while you play without constantly rebuilding the entire map after every objective update.

⚔️ Quest Mob Highlighting

QuestGuru can identify enemies related to your active quests directly in the world.

Quest-related mobs receive a visible indicator so you can quickly recognize which enemies contribute toward your current objectives.

The system continuously follows your active quest objectives and updates as progress changes.

This is especially useful in areas where several similar enemy types are standing together.

🔊 Quest Sounds

QuestGuru provides audio feedback as you progress.

Different events can produce different sounds, including:

• Quest accepted
• Objective progress
• Objective completed
• Full quest completed

When you've finished the work, QuestGuru lets you know.

Sounds can be enabled or disabled depending on your preference.

📋 Improved Quest Tracker

QuestGuru includes its own lightweight quest tracker designed specifically around the revived addon.

It provides:

• Active quests
• Objective progress
• Completed objectives
• Quest item information
• Navigation selection
• Quick map access
• Clear quest status information

The tracker is designed to remain useful without covering a large portion of your screen.

♻️ Bringing Abandoned Addons Back

QuestGuru is part of our effort to give useful abandoned addons another chance.

Older addons contain years of ideas, development, and history. When possible, we'd rather carefully restore and modernize a worthwhile project than simply allow it to disappear.

QuestGuru has required extensive compatibility work, debugging, navigation improvements, map-system repairs, UI changes, and new functionality to work properly on modern Classic clients.

This isn't intended to erase the history of the original project.

It's about keeping a great idea alive.
