Quest Plate Enhanced

Quest Plate Enhanced improves your questing experience by displaying quest objectives and progress directly above enemy and friendly nameplates.
No more switching to the quest log or hovering tooltips—your quest status is always visible, right where you need it.

📖 Background

This addon was inspired by the original QuestPlates project, which provided similar functionality years ago.
However, that version relied on outdated libraries and APIs which no longer work properly in current WoW Retail.

Quest Plate Enhanced was therefore rewritten entirely from scratch, without any external libraries.
It uses only Blizzard’s native API, making it lightweight, future-proof, and easy to maintain.

Accessible via:
ESC → Options → AddOns → [D] Quest Plate Enhanced

Options include:

Show Icon / Icon Size
Show Number / Number Size
Remaining vs Progress toggle
Show Quest Text / Text Size / Position Offset

📦 Installation

Download and extract into _retail_/Interface/AddOns/.
Ensure the folder is named exactly: [D] Quest Plate Enhanced.
Enable in the AddOn list at the character select screen.

Uses Blizzard’s official tooltip API for quest objectives.
Lightweight and optimized for Retail WoW (11.1+).
No external libraries required—clean, efficient codebase.
