Description
The guide
- Guide window: the current step with the NPC, coordinates, distance in yards, live objective counts with progress bars, and a "Coming up" list. Back and Skip buttons, a progress bar, and a green flash when a step is done.
- Guides for levels 1–60, every race, checked against the real quest database. The right guide for your race and level loads by itself and hands over to the next one.
- Guide browser: "Suggested for you", your full 1–60 route with % done per zone, and your own recordings.
- Steps tick themselves off from your quest log: accepted, objectives done, handed in, and level reached.
Getting around
- Waypoint arrow: distance, travel time, kill progress, and a tick when you arrive. It points to your corpse after you die.
- World map and minimap: ! for quest givers, ? for hand-ins, red dots for mob spawns, a star and dotted trail for your step, and unexplored land filled in.
- Star above the NPC you need, and NPC/mob tooltips say when they're part of your step.
- Coordinates display and manual waypoints (
/qg wp 32.4 49.6).
Quick questing
- Auto-accepts and hands in guide quests, and picks the right quest in gossip windows. Hold Shift to do it yourself.
- Quest item button next to the window for steps that need an item.
Gear for your class and spec (new)
- Knows your class and your spec from your talents (a levelling spec before level 10). You can change it in settings or with
/qg spec. - Knows what you can wear (armour type, trained weapon skills, level, class-only items) and tells you why when you can't.
- Scores gear with stat priorities for your class and spec, not item level.
- Tooltip line on every item: UPGRADE +x%, not an upgrade, you're wearing this, or can't use.
- Upgrades tab: lists the upgrades in your bags as +%. Click one to wear it.
- New upgrade alert: a chat line, a sound, NEW on the tab, and an "Equip it now?" pop-up. Nothing goes on unless you click, and it waits until combat ends.
- Best quest reward: a gold glow and BEST on the best choice, or the one that sells for most if none are upgrades. Optionally it selects the reward for you; you still click Complete.
Helpers
- Sells grey junk at vendors and tells you how much you made.
/qg keep [item]protects a grey item. - Warnings: bags almost full, gear breaking, and when a vendor can repair you.
- Status board (off by default): gold per hour, time played, daily reset, bags and professions.
- Route recorder: quest normally and it writes a guide
