Description
Quest Completist
See which quests you've completed and which you still have left, for every zone, dungeon, class, profession and holiday in the game. Quest Completist knows over 35,000 quests and places more than 16,000 quest-giver pins on your world map.
Type /qc (or /questc) to open it, or set a key binding.
Game versions
Quest Completist's main releases are made for Retail. The Files tab also has versions for other editions of the game, such as Classic, created and maintained by Thalid83 (Thanks!). If you play one of those, pick the file for your game version there. They're built separately, so some features on this page may work differently or not be available.
Features
A checklist for every zone
- Every quest in a zone, dungeon, raid, class, profession or holiday category, marked done or still to do.
- A running total for each category, like 142/180 Complete (78%).
- The list follows you, switching to the zone you're in as you travel.
- Search any quest by name.
- Sort by level or alphabetically.
Clear icons at a glance
- Different icons for normal, daily, weekly, repeatable, holiday, class and profession quests.
- Quests in your log show a grey ? (in progress) or a yellow ? (ready to hand in).
- Dailies and repeatables are never marked "done", so you can see at a glance which dailies each zone has.
Quest givers on your world map
- Pins show where to pick up the quests you haven't done yet.
- Hover a pin to see who gives which quests.
- Holiday quest pins follow the in-game calendar. Brewfest, Hallow's End, Winter Veil, the Darkmoon Faire and the rest appear only while they're running. Type /qc holidays to see what's on now and what's coming up.
Detailed quest tooltips
- Where the quest giver is, the quest's storyline and your place in it, and the quests you need to do first.
- Renown or reputation requirements, and the reputation it rewards.
- Warnings for breadcrumb quests, and for quests that lock out others ("you can only complete one of these").
Filters to show only what matters to you
- Hide quests for the other faction, other races and classes, professions you don't have, or other covenants.
- Hide completed, in-progress, low-level, daily, weekly, repeatable or world quests.
- Hide quests you've already done on another character in your Warband.
- Map and list filters are set separately.
Keeps itself up to date
- Asks the game which quests you've completed every time you log in, including ones done before you installed the addon.
- Quests you hand in are ticked off straight away.
- Dailies and weeklies clear themselves at the real daily and weekly reset.
Handy clicks
- Left-click a quest to set a waypoint to its quest giver (needs TomTom).
- Shift-click a quest to mark it as done, or not done.
- Alt-click a quest to mark it as unattainable (for quests you can no longer get).
Feedback
Found a quest in the wrong place, or one the addon says you can't do when you can? A small alert appears when Quest Completist spots something it didn't know. Please report it in the comments or on the Issues page.

Quest Completist 110.6
Fixed
- Timeless Isle quest pins now appear on the map, including Kairoz, Emperor Shaohao and Master Li's Celestial Tournament.
Improved
- Smaller download and lower memory use. Leftover data for older versions of the game has been cleared out.
Please note
- Quest Completist's main releases are now made for Retail only. Versions for Classic editions are maintained separately and can be found in the Files tab.
Quest Completist 110.5
New
- Holiday quests follow the in-game calendar. Quest pins for Brewfest, Hallow's End, Winter Veil, the Lunar Festival and every other holiday now appear on the map exactly while that holiday is running, every year, with no addon update needed.
- Darkmoon Faire quests now show on the map only while the Faire is in town.
- New
/qc holidayscommand shows which holidays are running now and when the next ones start. - New "Uncategorized" and "Weekly Events" categories. Quests that could previously only be found by searching now have a home in the menu, and the weekly bonus event quests are gathered together under World Events.
- Midnight dungeons and raids now have their own categories. Dungeon and raid names match the Dungeon Journal, and Dire Maul and Stratholme are split into their wings.
- The "Hide World Quests" option is back. It had gone missing, which meant world quests and weeklies were always hidden.
Fixed
- Profession filter: Cooking, Fishing and Archaeology quests were hidden even when you had the skill.
- Faction, race and class filters were hiding some quests from every character, including Warlords of Draenor bonus objectives and some Battle for Azeroth dungeon quests.
- Pandaren who have joined the Alliance or Horde can see their Wandering Isle quests again.
- Deepholm, Boralus and Dazar'alor showed no quest pins at all. They're back.
- Some ordinary quests only appeared during a holiday. A number of Battle for Azeroth quests could only be seen during Brewfest, Children's Week or the Feast of Winter Veil. They now show all year.
- Hundreds of map pins in dungeons and multi-floor areas never appeared. Blackfathom Deeps, Gnomeregan, the Deadmines, Dalaran's Underbelly, the Legion class halls, the Vindicaar and more now show them. The Demon Hunter class hall pins now appear on the Fel Hammer.
- Pins placed off the edge of their map now show in the right place: Vashj'ir, the Isle of Thunder, the Vault of the Wardens and Acherus.
- Legion Remix quests and "In the Blink of an Eye" now sit over Dalaran on the Broken Isles map instead of far to the south.
- "An Invitation from Moonglade" now shows for Alliance druids.
- Quests turned in without talking to an NPC (pop-up quests, bonus objectives) are now marked complete straight away, instead of after your next loading screen.
- Daily and weekly quests are no longer saved as permanently completed. They now reset at the real daily and weekly reset rather than every time you log in, and quests you've marked as unattainable keep that mark.
- "Perform Server Query" now always tells you what it found.
- Many quests that sat in the wrong place, or nowhere, are now filed under their proper zone. The quest list also switches correctly when you enter hundreds more zones and dungeons.
Improved
- Faster loading screens. The addon now checks your completed quests once at login instead of on every loading screen.
- Smaller download and lower memory use.
